Figured I would start this thread so we can get some discussions going. I'm starting the Humber Second Entry program this September (2015). Pretty excited, also a bit worried about this 74% cut-off.

Who else is going to join me in the craziness of this program??

I only have to take 3 classes, cuz I have taken 2 out of the 5 prep courses. I cant wait to start and begin my career as a nurse!

Hi 2015hope! I am also planning on taking some courses, so if I don't get in I won't go off the rocker ;)

Can you tell me, did you do your courses through Athabasca U, or your previous uni? I wouldn't want to take a course and then find out they don't accept that particular one, ya know?

I am currently completing pre health and Humber's second entry is the only school that will accept me for it!! (I don't have a science background, did my undergrad in Sociology and Spanish) So basically I have all my eggs in 1 basket. :o

Congratulations!!!

Humber royally screwed up my application, so I'm still waiting for an answer. I've been told I'm above the cut-off so I should get in, but who even knows at this point.

There's so little information about this program out there, I was wondering if anyone had been to the school to talk to staff?

Did you try calling the Recruiting Agents themselves? I had to do something similar last year with my pre-req's, I found them pretty good and helpful.

I actually have a previous degree from another university. They have a list online that tells you what classes they accept from other university or you can call the school. There pretty helpful!

Sorry, that may have been a bit confusing. The Enrolment Advisors (I think they're called that). I had an issue with them accepting my pre-reqs (I have two college diplomas and two degrees). I had to go through all of them and basically argue that they were acceptable. Anyways, I spoke with a couple advisors (Claire and Aldale) and they were pretty helpful.

Ahhh, thank you. Yeah, I spoke to Claire (who wasn't very helpful to me). I also had to argue courses I'd done and send transcripts more than once.
