Hello Everyone :)

I am looking to apply for the Fall 2018 ELM program at APU. I'll be done with my bachelors early 2018 and finishing up Organic Chemistry before I submit my application. I'm making this post to see where other people are at looking to apply and we all can help each other out if needed. Good luck to everyone :)

Actually, I emailed them twice asking for a status update because I was accepted to another school that starts next week that was not my top choice and really needed to make a decision. They responded and let me know over email. In general, my impression is that they call you or you receive a status update from the school via email prior to a call. But I'm not 100% sure. I got an email from a coordinator saying i'll be receiving my acceptance packet via mail shortly and she said she's been "late" on getting those out due to sickness, so maybe some will come through mail!

The first time I did not get in after an interview, they told me i didn't have a certain prereq that I actually had. I sent them a syllabus and they confirmed that I did meet the criteria, and rolled my application over to the next cycle which I interview for again. After that, I took a year off and did some extra stuff to boost my resume and reapplied. I don't know if they'll roll it over for any reason or it was only because of that specific circumstance with my class. But I had an interview each time. Hope that helps!

@BR89 I'll be at Monrovia/Azusa Campus. Congrats by the way. The way it worked for me, I received a call saying I was accepted then I received an email that same day and a packet in the mail the next week.

Has anyone had to take Research Methods? Its the only class I need before starting the program, but I'm having a little trouble finding a class to take.

I took it at Los Angeles City College! Its Psych74. Also, at Foothill Community College there is an online class. I forgot the course name for that one. Congrats and best wishes!! :)

Yes, I received the call and email just before Christmas (I think it was the 22nd). Thanks for the suggestion for Psych 74 and Foothill College, I'll look into those.

I received my acceptance letter through the mail on January 6th, 2017 for the Monrovia Spring 2019 term. I was notified a few days before Christmas via email that I got accepted but for a later term. :-) good luck to everyone!

@Fire2Nurse That's the last class I need too. Check Pasadena City College and East Los Angeles College as well. Both still have spots open for spring semester.

Hello! For those of us that haven't been accepted, has anyone gotten anything in mail? I haven't gotten anything and everyone from APU is saying to wait for something in mail.
