APU ELM Fall 2018

Published

Hello Everyone :)

I am looking to apply for the Fall 2018 ELM program at APU. I'll be done with my bachelors early 2018 and finishing up Organic Chemistry before I submit my application. I'm making this post to see where other people are at looking to apply and we all can help each other out if needed. Good luck to everyone :)

I was told to submit an updated resume and updated transcripts and that a new personal statement and new rec forms were optional.

Well this is awesome.

Does anyone know how many applications they typically receive per spot? I read somewhere they get 5 applicants per spot they have available. Is this accurate? Or how many applicants they have in general per campus?

@ns90, don't fret. I was actually told later on that this application cycle was super super competitive and that they received 150 applications for 20 spots. I was also told to reapply, apparently they take that into consideration (i.e. the number of number of times you've applied).

Thats a 16.6% acceptance rate. If i did my math right.

That's why I chose this over PA. I got an interview at a PA school that got over 2500 applicants for ~50 spots. That's 2%! Just to get an interview was like 12%, and I was happy for that, but I will never again go through that type of "interview." Dreadful. APU interview and application process was cake compared to that and for that I will reapply.

Thanks, and good luck to you next cycle!

Hey guys, has anyone applied for the upcoming cycle? I'm trying to submit my application but it's saying it's already submitted, but thats my application from the fall 2018 cycle. Thank you!

@cvnursing

I actually had the same issue, so I plan on sending a physical copy of my application. I really hope all of us make it to the next cycle!
