  1. No word from the ED either. But I wouldn’t worry too much. If they pushed back the start date I doubt unit managers are rushing to schedule interviews.
  2. It could be because they’re one of the most under staffed departments in the hospital and need staff. Or the management just has their act together faster than other department managers.
  3. So still waiting it looks like.
  4. Nope, haven’t heard anything. ER is probably the most behind with all this COVID stuff.
  5. A friend of mine is an internal applicant and he has an interview scheduled for next week. I think the floors that take external applications will take a bit longer to sort through the numerous applicants and schedule interviews. So probably in the next 2 weeks I would think. It’s a slow process.
  6. I had my NCLEX scheduleDfor 2 weeks from now, but it got cancelled. I luckily found an open spot in SD to test (I live in LA) last Thursday. Besides that, there were no dates until end of July. Once you are cleared to schedule your test just be checking every day, people cancel or change their dates all the time. Dates open up and you can change your test date up to 24 hours before your test.
  7. I would assume that they won’t speed up the process, and they may even slow things down. Because the start date will still be September no matter what.
  8. Thanks for the information everyone! I’ve been checking for it as while. Does anyone know what it will Be posted as? Like “new grad RN” or just “New Grad” when you search in their jobs page.
  9. As long as they don’t suspend any exams further, I’ll be happy.
  10. Anyone else take their NCLEX yet? Just scheduled mine for April.
  11. Yeah I think it’ll be a little while. They have a ton of applications to sift through. The application doesn’t even close until next week if I read it right. Anyone apply to ED? The questions seemed straight forward, but the video recording was really strange and new so we’ll see how I came across while answering.
  12. HEY! I’m applying March 2nd too, to the ED. I read some posts about what the last cohort had to do for the application and it sounds like the video interview has some basic “get to know you” questions. There’s an introduction, then they ask things like why this department? Why this hospital? And what will you do if you don’t get this job? I read that you only have 2 min to answer each question, can only record your answers once, but you have time to prepare before recording.
  13. Does anyone know the general schedule for the ELM program? Like breaks and hokidays?
  14. Yes, I received the call and email just before Christmas (I think it was the 22nd). Thanks for the suggestion for Psych 74 and Foothill College, I'll look into those.
  15. Has anyone had to take Research Methods? Its the only class I need before starting the program, but I'm having a little trouble finding a class to take.
