My youngest brother went to school with brothers named Storm and Steel... their last name was Rocket
Let me guess, did they happen to have a sister named Skye?

The "silliest" (at least to me) name I've seen is "Candy Apple." This is fairly recent so it stands out in my memory.

I have a friend whose nephew's name is Luke Skywalker.

My husband is from India, and we know several Indian immigrants who have had babies in the U.S. I'm sure they are nice names in India . . .

    Aaryan
    Periyah
    Shiva or Siva
    Ratnah
    Bhoomi or Bhooma
    Gungun
    Ganga
    Kunti

Wish I could think of the others right now. Some of them are just not so great American names.

My grandfather's grandparents had so many kids they ran out of names. Each one had ABC initials. The last one was named Alpha Beta Clark. My grandma found it in her geneology records so we know it's true. My uncle's name, true to tradition, is Aric Bane Clark. Lovely middle name, eh? My dad's name is Allen Bedford. Bedford means "across the bed."

I know someone who named their daughter Luthien after the Lord of the Rings movie. Another one named her daughter Aylah after the Clan of the Cave Bear books.

I went to school with three sisters named Faith, Hope, and Charity. Hope passed away and Charity did NOT live up to her name at all.

The worst name I personally have ever heard was a beautiful little girl named "Nitzi"....sorry, made me think of lice

Shetoya Montice (not sure of the spelling)- no kidding. Hank Williams Jr (Williams was not the last name and the Jr was part of the middle name I guess). Tequila Sunrise. A few Simbas around the lion-king time.

I have to say that a new OB I worked with, who did her residency in Mississippi told me she had a patient with twins name them Lemonjollo & Orangejello as was mentioned earlier. That's what they offered her on the menu every day & she thought they were "cute" names for her girls. Even worse however, was the mother who named her baby girl Chlamydia becuase it was such a beautiful name....

I have a new one. A beautiful little girl, the youngest of several for this lovely couple and they have decided the last. All of the children are girls and dad had always envisioned having a child named after him. Yea, this is not going well, is it?

So they name the little girl after her daddy Ralph, her name is Ralphnie (Ralph-nee). Poor little girl.

No lie... Today we had a lady come in the pharmacy who named her 8th child (a girl) STRAWBERRY KIWI

I am not even making this up... She said she craved that flavor a lot while pregnant with the child.... hmmm I guess that makes sense.

My friend was telling me today in class that she was going through payroll where she works and saw someone named their kids Coca Cola and her sister Pepsi Cola.
