myself and my workmates are all here with OGRADY PEYTON, and the majority of us are happy with the agency, they take care of all the paperwork, pay for all the exams and study days to help with passing the n-clex. they pay for all flights to take the exam in america, and for me to relocate. the nurses are from the uk, barbados, poland, south africa, antigua, jamaica and st lucia. we get paid well even although the agency obviously charges the hospital more for us than we get. thats the name of the game, we also get overtime at time and a half.
as a matter of interest to the nurses who are going by themselves....how much are the hospitals paying you? I know it depends on the area that you go to, but the hospital employed nurses where we are get less than the travel nurses.
we sold everything before we came here, our home and business, cars and house contents. we arrived here with 2 suitcases each to begin again.
7 months later we are surviving ....and doing very nicely.
ps..whats your weather like? 84 degrees here today...just been out for dinner at a beach bar, watching the beautiful sunset.
