Thank you go out to all of you!!!! Marie, they have already given us our topics we will be studying and what weeks that will take place. Our first 3 classes will deal with communication and then the dreaded math! Glad to hear someone else will be stressed with me!!Good Luck!!

I'm going to get the Littmann Soft Touch Cardiology from allheart.com and have it personalized to try to keep it from growing legs! My husband said I could get which ever one I want as long as I keep it around my neck!

hi all, we had a nursing meeting today with the head instructor and she said we only need the one prong stethoscopes

if that makes any sense. now i don't know whether to use the littman or the cheaper one that i have.

guess i will wait and see, maybe use both and then decide.

I was just looking at my syllabus for one of my nursing courses and I need a stethoscope also, plus a tape measure, pen light and a small ruler. It says a stethoscope with a bell and diaphrahm. Do they all have a bell and diaphrahm?

I can get these things at the bookstore, but should I try to get it somewhere else? I didn't realize I needed one yet since I don't have clinicals, but I do have lab so I guess we will use it there.

I also need two more books, yikes!!!

I am going to go broke buying all this stuff.

I would love to have a Littman Cardiology Stethoscope! But miine I have now is ok...

PS: Student Deb~ No, they don't all have a bell and diaphragm. A bell and diaphragm are the ones with the end you can turn around...one is smaller than the other...

and some just have 1 flat listening area at the bottom that you listen through...

I hardly make sense to myself....hope you can understand me!

Question about watches, I am required to have a watch with a "sweep hand", then they College sent out another letter with our supplies and it said "second hand". So what do I need? Is there a difference? And if so is there a web site that sells them? I love buying online!
