do you wear those clogs?

Nurses Uniform/Gear

hey everyone:

just curious how many of you wear those "nursing clog" shoes at work.

I wear sneakers and have tried clogs on a few times, but I don't know how anyone could wear them all day!

I did, but they are starting to cause a big bump on my big toe....so now I have to find something else. :/

Been wearing the Dansko clogs for years-no achey legs or fatigue like when I wore running shoes.

They aren't for everyone and you do need to get used to them.

Worth every penny!!

Love, love, love my Dansko's!! Been wearing them for over a year and they are the best shoes I have ever worn. I have very flat feet and my ankles tend to roll inward, creating strain on my knees, hips and back. The Dansko's hold my ankles in alignment.

I have flat feet, and they were recommended to me not for nursing, but for the restaurant industry where I work. I LOVE them, and they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned!

I love my Dansko's.

Started wearing them in 2005 and even though not working right now (and I flew last and had to wear steel toes, so no Dansko's) I went to work in them, and worse during station time. I got in a hurry one time and actually work a pair on a flight - realized it when we were sitting in an aiport lounge while refueling - my pilot pointed out - "Love your new boots!"

I actually rarely wear anything else. Though I am not very stylish a times. Not that - that matters!

My hubby hated them till his feet hurt - 2 pairs and 4 moths later and he gets it. Actually, he thought they looked "less than manly (work censored due to being offensive)" - actually, I think it doesn't matter what they look like if your feet hurt so bad you are sent to bed with a heating pad. Hobbled is not a good look for anyone.

Try them. They may not work for everyone - but, you may just love them as much as I do!

:dzed:

I go between Danskos and Crocs.

Huge difference but they both work for me.

My only problem is that sometimes I get a pair of danskos that squeak when I walk.

I used to swear that I couldn't be a nurse without my Birkenstocks. Then one of my arches fell and I could no longer wear them.

Now I live in Dansko's, even outside of work, and I swear I couldn't be a nurse without them.

Moral of the story is: everyone's different and you just have to find your "perfect" brand or shoe. But do take care of your feet. If you're wearing sneakers and are working full-time in them, you probably need to replace them at least every 6 months.

I LOVE my Danskos. That is the only shoe I'll wear on the floor, and I wear them a good portion of the time when I'm not at work either.

I was thinking about wearing some when I dress up as an elf this year...

I had a pair of red patent leather Danskos that I had to stop wearing because they squeaked. Not a small squeak, either. REALLY loud. It made me sad because they're my favorite.

If you don't like the way the clogs feel like they are "slipping" which is how they are supposed to feel, try the vegan Dansko sneakers. They have the same style footbed but have laces to make them tighter. If super comfortable running shoes and Dansko clogs could mate, this is what you would get.

I have worn Danskos for everything since 1999 except for fancy dress shoes.
