Comfortable shoes?

Would anyone like to share what kind of shoes you prefer? Clogs or tennis shoes?

Can you give recommendations on what kind of shoes you have found to be the most comfortable?

I wear Skechers Go Walk (or Go Walk 2), they're slip-on shoes with memory foam. Super comfortable and light weight.

I wear running tennis shoes. I find that I walk out of clogs and end up tripping going down the hallway. :-) I'm uncoordinated like that.

I think the memory foam feels great but after a very short time the sole starts to smell. I have never had that problem with any of my shoes until I wore a shoe with memory foam. Not sure why I had that problem. I promise I took a shower. lol :-)

This question comes up all the time, along with "which is the best stethoscope?" threads.

The answer is whatever is the most comfy on YOUR feet. Some people swear by Danskos, other declare them the bane of their existence. Sketchers? They are the absolute BEST/absolute WORST shoe ever made.

OP, good luck in your choice, as our opinions don't matter a BIT :)

I never get sick of this question, though, because then I get to talk about how amazing DANSKOS are! I have a "thing" for them, I really do.

Ha! I guess I do, though, because the thread then turns into "OMG, you love those shoes?! They ruined my feet!" and on and on and on....

I have issues with certain kinds of materials making my feet smell, it's generally caused by the socks I wear and it seems I cannot wear anything but good old cotton Hanes. :(

I should add that I have an allergy to latex and maybe that's why I have issues? *shrugs*

Eh, I'm just making conversation really. I know everyone's preferences can be different. I've always just worn tennis shoes but my feet are usually killing me by the end of the day. I'm thinking of trying to 'clogs' out but of course I won't know how I like them until I do. I definitely need more support and cushion than what I have now.

You might want to look into different kinds of inserts. They are replaceable and less expensive than changing an entire shoe. Also might want to check around where you work and make sure you CAN wear what you want: I had an employer who did not allow anything without a back (so no clogs without a strap at the back of the heel). And no holes in the top (like Crocs often have).

I think cotton socks would let your feet "breathe" easier, better movement of air. If sweat gets trapped in synthetic acrylic/nylon stuff, your feet can get mighty stinky! Nothing to do with latex allergy, but everything to do with freedom of pores :)

I'm just looking for something new as my shoes are old and worn out. I could do tennis shoes and add insoles, that's a good idea. I have to wear leather, in black or white, with closed toe and back. I HATE Crocs, I wore them when I first started as a CNA and I quickly learned that they were not a good option for being on my feet all day, lol.

After much trial and error, I have decided that Timberland Pro Revo are best for me. I can wear them for a full 12 hour shift and am not in extreme pain at the end. I cannot say the same for other nursing shoes or tennis shoes.
