Who is doing a CPNE workshop? It sounds like many are doing Sherri's Online or have Rob's Cd. Is anyone doing a hands on workshop and if so which one, where, when? I would really love to a skills workshop if one was near Central US.

I think Excelsior's workshop goes to the Midwest. I wish I had the extra $$ for hands on workshop. I am thinking of doing Lynn's online workshop for a month too, I feel like Sheri's is missing something....

How do you like your first EC Conference? I am going to sign up for the EC careplan conference tomorrow. The only workshop that would work for me is the EC Workshop next week, Tue-Thur. Next one is in October--much too late. Sherri is only in Georgia, which is too far. There is one in Pennsylvania, too far. Ugh.....

It hasn't started yet, it starts soon though :-) I have Beginner CPNE conference starting next week and then Documentation during the following week. I think that I heard of a workshop in southern California also, and Lynn travels--saw a date in Oregon on her website, check that out.

Wow! I thought that the beginner started last week, and that documentation started tomorrow? Maybe those are the final dates you can register? I will call, maybe I can still do both. In Mosby's all day....phooey.

I think that the California workshop was Tina's, in San Jose, and her last one was in June. I will look into Lynn's. I want mnemonics and grids, but apparently I am not that far in this blasted content guide yet. They are somewhere in this content guide, right? lol.....

Hmmm...Lynn is trying something new here Beachie, this could be interesting? It appears as though you can send in a video to have her review it.

Definately, I was looking at her stuff yesterday, looks interesting... I was thinking of posting on youtube and asking for feedback. I have two friends that are going to Sheri's hands on workshop this weekend that I am hoping they can give me some feedback when I come back... but I am thinking about scraping together the $$ to do a month of Lynn's workshop online. I just feel like I am missing something... would love to have someone critique me and tell me if I am on the right track with my skills and assessments. I think I am, I am starting to feel more and more confident... but what I think kinda doesn't matter, LOL!!!

Oh no they start July 11 and July 21, I opted to wait a little bit. I think they allow 20 students or something per conference, it will tell you if it's full or not when you try to register.

The critical elements are in the study guide. Whether or not you make or use mneumonics is up to you. I am using Rob's mneumonics that I tweaked a little bit. The grid is something you can choose to make on your paperwork to make sure you both do and chart all the critical elements. Some people write down mneumonics on their grid, some people write down the critical elements on their grid.... and some people try to do all from memory... whatever works for you. I am someone who has 1000 sticky notes just to remind me to get groceries, so I NEED mneumonics and a grid.

I'm attending Tina Logan's workshop in PA July 22-24...anyone else going to this workshop?! Then my CPNE is @ Albany Medical Center August 19-21...eeeek

I'm going to Chancellor's workshop July 25 -29. I will let everyone here how it went.

I just sent back Robs videos, because they kept stopping. I am thinking of Sheri online......I don't know yet. Couldn't get into Pa. maybe Charlotte or Atlanta in Aug. Not at all prepared to get a date though.

Let me know how everyone is doing......I am a little slow here in NY. Just started a new job. UGH

I initially was planning to do Lynn's & EC workshop but recieved no so great feedback on Lynn's so I have decided against it. I am now planning to work with a private tutor recommended by another student on the EPN boards. I am told this tutor was a CE at EC for 16 years!!! WOW.....I might be in excellent hands. I do have to travel from NY to the location but it will be worth it as it cost less than EC's workshop and covers two weekends of tutor one on one! What do you guys think?
