Okay guys....quite a few of us still hammering away on tests while others are in the FCCA, CPNE, NCLEX waiting and NCLEX PASSED group (YAY!!!) What is everyone working on this week and how are you preparing?

I am in a paper nightmare with transitions--my last test! OMG this is awful! I am 3/4 way through my guide, taking a SG practice exam here and there, I am out of paper, out of pink ink and still need to print more. I did the reading too, it wasn't too bad because most if it repeats from section to section but I still have a hard time finding stuff. I am scheduled for Wed...if I reschedule the next day is June 27...BOO!! I don't know what to do?! Practice Exam A tonight, we will see after I guess. I am also desperately in search of a CPR class too, waiting for 2 community colleges to call back. Good luck to all those testing this week!

I have A&P tomorrow! Freaking out about it. I am going to pull an all nighter tonight and hope for the very best.

Also working on prepping for the CPNE!!! :-) Trying to find a deal on a hotel still.... so expensive up there! Got a flight though for about $300 so I am happy w/that. Going to sign up for Sheri's workshop next week after I get paid.

Mailed back my FCCA on Friday, hoping for a good report when it gets graded!!

Got to squeeze Micro in sometime this summer too... love the Vangonotes, wish I had downloaded these sooner and gotten these gen ed's out of the way!

Loops, if you are just renewing your CPR you can go to American Heart website (AHA.org) and do an online renewal which has 2 parts. You first do the online theory/course(approx. $20) and take the test. You will get a certificate that gives you about 1 month to complete the skills portion. Call up your local EMR services and they will go over the skills with you ($25) and then have you do it - like 15 mins and you pass! Just like that! I have been doing this for the last 4 years. The CPR/BLS for HP is good for 2 years. This is cheaper and more convenient than go through a traditional class. Hope this helps.

finally getting back to reading, studying for ls2 (no fun) i have to stay motivated... goal to be done by the end of the year.

Specializes in Peds,Corrections, Dialysis, LTC.

I have two exams scheduled next week sociology and A&I lit. I had the "nerve" to go on vacation last week and was just about voted out of the family for having my face in a book the entire time!

Beachnurse, what are vangnotes? Sounds like something I would be interested in considering I have quite a few gen Ed tests to do.

Just started studying for Repro. I am a somewhat off my schedule but I am trying to see if I can take this Thursday. Not sure if this is doable, will see how the material is in the next 2 days....may have to reschedule.

Repro plus 2 more to go before FCCA/CPNE!

Just registered for Transitions, the first of my 7 needed exams. Hoping to get access to practice exams in the next day or so - then I hope to test within 2 weeks. Reading SG101 notes trying to figure out how to memorize this stuff according to the content guide. Anyone with any tips- I would appreciate it!

Waiting for July 1!! I've been on hiatus from school for the last month, and getting anxious to start again

Specializes in med/surg, geriatrics, corrections.

Just studying for LS3, actually ready to take it, it's my last one before I get the FCCA but my testing site didn't have any openings to test this week except on days I have to work so I have to wait until the 16th to take it. Hopefully have the FCCA out of the way before the end of this month and then study for CPNE.

Specializes in Ortho, OB/GYN, long-term care.

I am getting back up on my proverbial horse and at the studying again after a miserable fail on LS1. Going to go on to Health Differences while I wait to retake. On Wednesday I felt like I was finished, washed up, out the door...but I feel now I can actually get back at it and maybe this will be my motivation to continue on. I have not come this far (7gen ed and 4 nsg theory along with Info Lit) to just quit and bury my head in the sand. So Happy Studying to all! One day soon I will be in the NCLEX PASSED group!!!

Specializes in LTC.

Schedule to take Repro on the 16th. Took practice exam and score a 62 and a 64. Going over my saunders book and practice exams. Any last minute advice is greatly appreciated. This is my 2nd exam, hoping to speed up after this one.
