Looking for RN-MSN program in Nurse-Midwifery

I've been looking for a program in Nurse-Midwifery that is online/distance learning, and is for the RN who does not already have his/her BSN. It would be a RN to MSN program that combines the BSN and MSN courses in one study.

I'm having a difficult time finding a program like this that is strictly online/distance learning. I cannot afford to relocate to attend programs that I have found that are in-classroom programs.

You are going to find it extremely hard to find a program for CNM that is on-line. It normally has a very demanding clinical part to the training. And all programs that I have seen actually require a full two years of experience as an RN in the Labor and Delivery area before getting accepted.

then you are eligible for online msn frontier school of midwifery and family nursing - midwifery and ...

I have almost 5 years experience as an L&D nurse, and I work with midwives who precept student nurse-midwives for the clinical component of their CNM training.

I was just looking to see if there was an online CNM program that combines the BSN and MSN or certificate in nurse-midwifery in one course of study. It would take about a year off of my education process.

I will probably end up just doing the BSN online first, then apply to a distance learning MSN/CNM program.

this is from graceland university ( www.graceland.edu ) they don't have a nurse midwife specialty at this time. i am thinking of enrolling in their fnp program. you could probably do this then get a post masters certificate in nurse midwifery... just a thought.

accelerated rn to msn program

this program offers registered nurses the opportunity to complete their bsn and msn degrees via an accelerated process, saving up to 12 to 14 semester hourse of course work.

in this unique program, students are required to take only the graduate level professional development i and ii, advanced pathophysiology, and scientific inquiry courses, rather than the undergraduate courses providing similar content.

The University of Michigan offers an RN-MSN program with CNM concentration. Clinicals are set up in your area. There are a few times you have to come to campus, but not many.

Hi, I was researching this for someone else, but you might want to check this site out www.uc.edu/

It is the University of Cincinnati but now I can't remember if they accept non-nursing degrees...Geez, sorry. Umm, there is no residency required but you do need to have taken your GRE's within the last five years, which knocked me out of the running (I was looking at their Women's Health NP program)

You should check Philadelphia University. They seem to have a program that allows you to get not an MSN but a Master's in Midwifery if you are an RN with a bachelors degree in any discipline.
