Hello everyone. I will be starting an online RN to BSN program in May and since I did the traditional route for my Associates, I am new to the online school world. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice for me. A friend from here told me about half.com for textbooks which helped me save a crapload on books! Any info, no matter how little would help. Thank you in advance and HELP A SISTER OUT!:lol2:

I am enrolled at UWYO online and the classes that I have taken are sectioned in units. We have several things listed in each unit to do such as: read lecture, discussion, journal, writing, etc. I have found that the best practice is when a unit opens to try and complete as much as I can as quickly as I can. A lot of the time I can complete most of the unit in 1-2 days unless it's writing a paper. It's just so much easier to get most of the work out of the way as soon as possible and not have it hanging over your head.

I did both my BSN and MSN online and the one hint I can give is to stay on top of the assignments. If you get behind, fess up right away.

Thank you for all the good advice. Any one else have some words of wisdom????

What on line schools did you use? Would you recommend them? I'm a diploma RN and need to get my BSN asap......:nurse:

I agree, just as in ADN school, don't get behind!

I did both my BSN and MSN online with University of Phoenix and was very happy with the education I got. I did the BSN in 15 months, the MSN in one year and I'm now doing a traditional post-MSN clinical nurse specialist.
