If so, how did you it? I signed up 2 days ago and have up until tomorrow. I was told that I have 3 business days to cancel the transaction. To do this I need to send the cancellation letter, written notice or telegram. I'm thinking of doing all three to cover my bases just in case. What do you all think? Thanks in advance!

I would do all three. Make sure you send the letters by certified mail, return receipt. Your proof of mailing will provide you with the date of mailing as a form of proof. Additionally, you should call and make sure you write down the person's name and inform them you have sent the other notifications.

Good idea about calling and getting the name and # caliotter3! Forgot to add, I am also sending a cc: written letter to the Attorney General.

Cancel NOW. Otherwise you will NOT get out.

Send it certified mail.

Excellent preemptive move on your part. I have only read of one or maybe two people who were able to successfully cancel their contracts.

I'll let everyone know how it goes. I'm praying that all goes well.

Geez louise! It's going to cost $70-80 to send a telegram for cancellation.

I was able to cancel my contract. It was about 4 years ago. I just called the next day and they cancelled me. I swear it was that easy. I've heard of a lot of people having difficulty canceling with the college network. I would do as much as possible (phone, certified letter, telegram, fax, whatever) That's a lot of money to get stuck with.

Better to pay $70 to $80 for a successful cancellation than to be stuck with a debt that is more than $5000 for useless study guides that you could have bought used on ebay for as little as $15 apiece.

i was able to cancel mine the day after i signed it. i read the very back of the contract and did exactly as it said. ( the tiny print that is so hard to read)i also faxed them a copy of everything, made copies of all paperwork involved. i called and spoke to a person, recorded their name, date, time of conversation and placed it on all paperwork too.

keep a copy of everything for you records!

i didn't have any trouble by doing the cancellation this way

i wish you luck and hope you get out of that contract..
