Well I just found out my fate from my state BON. Let me explain....23 years ago, I was arrested for a misdemeanor, charged as a minor AND the judge told me it was a closed case and would be wiped from my record. Well, I did not disclose it on my license application and it came up on my background check. I in know way was trying to hide anything. It had never came up on any of my checks for clinicals and to be honest I forgot about it. When the judge told me I never had to disclose it--it was a closed/sealed case, that is what I thought. Anyway, they have fined me $500 for "Failure to Disclose". I had to provide court records of the incident which did not exist b/c it had been more than 20 years. I know I have to deal with it and move on but it is SOOOO frustrating!
Yes, what I did 23 years ago was so STUPID! But ..... Anyone else experience anything similiar?
