BON: Notice of Contemplated Action

6 months ago I was fired because of training issues. It was unlawful but I didn't fight for it since I was hired in another state right away. I got a license by endorsement and my other license is already inactive. Little did I know my boss reported me to BON. It was investigated and just today I received a NOtice of contemplated action. What will I do next? I am so desperate. They only gave me 15 days to request for a hearing.

While I was orientating a nurse as a circulator I was doing the paper works and I wrote his name on the part where he should sign and he forgot to countersign after the procedure. In other words they charged me with forgery. The reason why I was fired on the same day they noticed it.

Did you print/write his name or did you attempt to sign his name? Big difference. Definitely consult an attorney. If the case moves forward and you are sanctioned this can affect you in your current state and for years to come.

There's no guarantees, but it considerably improves your chances for a favorable outcome than if you tried to face the BON on your own.

Yes, a lawyer can be pricey. But having your license disciplined, suspended or revoked is far more costly in the long run.
