What should I do?

I interviewed for a Home Health position on Monday. This was actually the second time that I've interviewed for the same position. Both times the director told me that I was a great fit for the position, but the first time she ended up hiring someone with more home health experience than me.

Well, the company called me out of the blue, eight months later, to interview me again for the position. It's actually a psych home nurse position, there are TWO openings now, and more or less the director came to realize that, with my psych experience, and with the fact that she now knows more herself about what the psych home nurse position entails... I'm actually a better fit for the position than she first thought.

So, the problem is, she told me on Monday that someone would be calling me to interview me, a regional psych nurse/trainer. He still has not called me and I'm getting nervous. I really want this job, and now it's getting to the point that I NEED it; I work agency and have gotten cancelled twice this week so far; not good.

I want to call the director tomorrow and ask her what is going on. She even told me that she hoped to offer me a position by the end of this week. I'm worried that maybe my Medicare certification fell through, or that they just flat out changed their minds. Should I call her or just keep waiting? Thanks...

I did, ha! =) I called and left her a voice mail this morning around 8:30, because she was in a meeting.

About 11:30, psych nurse dude called me, and we scheduled an interview for this Tuesday! Thanks!

I have worked for two home health agencies, and have many friends in that field. Across the board they are ALL unorganized. You want a job, stay on top of it. Call, call, and call again.
