Rejected Apps- getting scared

Hello all!

I've had my ASN for approximately a year now and while I am currently employed, I'm looking for something closer to home and that will allow me to grow in my skills.

I'm getting highly discouraged because I'm getting rejected for pretty much everything I apply for.

I wonder if I'm doing something wrong or if I should just give up on nursing altogether. I honestly love what I do but I can't seem to get a job at the local hospital to save my life. I've never even interviewed. What can I do?

I would try again after you have 18 months, or 24 months experience.

To you and I and any nurse worth their salt, your LPN experience should be very much relevant.

Unfortunately, HR often takes a more black-and-white view about it. They don't see a RN with four years' of various nursing experiences, they see a RN with just 1 year of RN experience.

Maybe have your resume and cover letter professionally critiqued and tweaked?

Go on and proceed to the BSN. A BSN with a couple years experience will take you farther. At least where I live.
