JUne 06 : Retake All?

World Philippines

Published

Anyone here who had voluntarily revoked his/her june 2006 license to be able to take previous December 06 board...

Planning to take the June 07 board exam, the whole entire exam.. But with the delayed response of the government, and with the stubborn stand of DOLE of " retake of test 3 and 5", i think my only option is to have my license revoke and sit for a new exam.....

What implications would it bring.. enlighten me pls....

yes i am a thomasian nurse batch 2005. :wink2:

Umm...no offense but we can certainly do without the crowing, gloating and the giving of pats on the backs...there certainly is nothing to celebrate about....there are no victors here and no one or no school for that matter can claim a moral victory on this fiasco....We the victims of the June 06 NLEs are the ones who has to sacrifice and fight for this and we dont have the luxury of just talk....this is not the time to say " We told you so, We were right!" but instead it is a time to move on......yes we were divided...but ultimately, we are all on the same boat...if not on the same page...Go Filipino! Peace to everyone.:nurse::nurse::nurse:RNs unite!

just want to bring back our glory for those who have detested us (or hate us) during the height of the controversy.

no offense nxt777 but i just wanna ask....what "glory" do you find in all of this? i'm sure the others would love to know.....

hi everyone! i just cut my out-of-country vacation short so I can retake the NLE this June. It seems that a lot of people wants to retake all and I am really considering this. Can anyone please tell me when the registration deadline is, if i want to retake all parts of the exam? and for the parts 3 and 5 too? thanks. i'd appreciate it if anyone can help me out on this. :kiss

hi fuddmenace!

as i've mentioned in my first post its not for argumentation purposes. but then since you asked me of what i meant by "glory" in my previous post, its that ust was vindicated for the call of retake -- that we were right all along. that this have not gone this far if the retake took place. when the anti-retake were calling us (thomasian) selfish for making the dreams of june 2006 passers gloomy. what we are fighting for here is integrity of the exam. its a simple logic if there is a leakage, then there is cheating, therefore it should be null and void (my own opinion and not an opinion by all thomasians).

i pity for those who did not take place in the cheating but i believe that the nbi/prc/bon cannot pinpoint exactly who are the ones involved thus, a retake is suggested.

the supreme court may not have seen that call for integrity but the cgfns and ana did. (of course not for all but only for those wishing to obtain their visa screen certificate)

i do not want to be argumentative with this post fuddmenace, but i just want to clarify where im driving at.

*this is purely my own opinion and not necessarily an opinion by the university of santo tomas - college of nursing

i'm currently reviewing for nclex and my review will end on the 2nd week of May. Is it practical to retake the whole NLE or just 3 and 5? The NLE and NCLEX have different concepts right? I need some suggestions here please

The NLE and the NCLEX are totally different. As far as re-taking just test 3 and 5 or the whole exam is entirely your choice.

hello nxt777! no arguments here ....just opinions.;)

my complete retaking of the exam has nothing to do with "admitting" that i am "wrong" and ust con et al was "right" or that i am "incompetent" as the others would say, but it is simply a matter of "complying" with what cg and ana has put forth for entry and employment in the united states...nothing more, nothing less...

if "integrity" is your cause then support us and be one with us. i do hope that the our nation will collectively learn from all this(im not gonna hold my breath though)...if not, then our sacrifices will be for naught....the ca and sc did their mandate and upheld justice...the prc did their best in upholding both integrity and justice...while the pna upheld nothing....and we the unfortunate are left here holding the short end of the stick and left to our own devices to "fight" for the "integrity" of the nles and rp nursing in general....bec i dont see no support coming from anyone....and while were on the subject of integrity...the only difference between june 06 and the nles that preceeded it was that the whistle was blown on our turn...think about it...but thats another story....

i understand love for alma mater and all that and i respect that (my sister is from ust college of medicine '02)....but all im saying is that lets not take any moral highground on this matter, not at the expense of anyone and just because there isnt any to begin with....plus it creates continued resentment and division(not to mention hatred and detest)...thats what i'm driving at....but as they say whatever makes people happy...

lastly, we dont need pity and talk...we need understanding and support....imho.

nuff said from me...back to the books....im out!!

peace to all! rns unite!!!:nurse::nurse::nurse:

"burning the midnight oil....gotta review!!!!"

NCLEX and NLE are different but has similarities. i passed the nclex last nov.. they said that the dec boards was not that difficult compared to june2006 exam, coz if u study and know the basic concepts of nursing..surely u pass the dec boards. the june 2006 questions were so different, the answers were mostly not found in the books but opinionated unlike the dec boards..purely concepts and theory.

nle is about the basic concepts and theories of nursing, when you study nle it is like studying for nclex but not to consider the community nsg. the strategy of answering in nclex questions is different from answering the nle. nclex is ANALYSIS..

june is fast approaching, u have to decide..better take nle first then nclex :) coz if one can't passed this june2007 there is still dec2007. unlike taking the dec2007 then if you can't make, you can take nle on june2008.

in my case, i lift everything to the LORD..coz nothing is impossible in Him. God knows who were those people who took the june2006 honestly and passing without the benefit of the leakage. now we are taking the nle again coz of those who cheated and made money to get the leakage..now, still they are free. i could say, God is watching us. just have faith in Him..He'll lead and guide us in answering the nle again and help us pass. let's go for a voluntary retake--all the subjects-- it is for a safe future!

Oh Lord Help us all!

~

I will re-sit in the NLE. Praying to be part of BATCH 2007.
