how was it? can you share your experiences? I heared there's a height requirement? Did they already pick applicants that are for training?

For global city, yes they will still accept your resume. But probably, they would be telling you that it is for manpooling only. Or You may also want to apply in SLMC-qc, submit your resume on the hospital building itself.:specs:

Hi all. Just want some clarifications (I'm confused)..Are applications for slmc-gc and slmc-qc needs to be submitted in different places? I have passed my resume at the 16F Cathedral Heights, I thought that was for both slmc-gc and slmc-qc. I am mistaken?

Thanks in advance.

For SLMC-QC, go to the main hospital. The last time I went there, they were not accepting applications.

Hi everyone! I am just a newbie here. Just wanna ask, where will I go if I am to apply for SLMC-GC? (Not in QC area.) And what are the requirements? Even if it's for manpower pooling only, I will just try my luck =) Thanks in advance.

go to 16th floor cathedral heights bldg (the one in front of SLMC Bldg. For those who wants to take their initial exams, you should bring at least 2 1x1 ID pictures, and your most accurate and complete resume. Make sure that you got the best look at your ID picture

hi everybody! i've been reading the threads and im just curious about the height and weight limit thing..also i read something about being "second priority" because of her sungki tooth.. and also about the board rating.

my board rating is 79.60.. short of few points to being 80. my friend said that they only accept applicants with board ratings 80 and above. is there some truth to that? if that's the case, then there's no point in applying. i passed the board exam last june2008 and im still here in US but will be back this june. do you guys think they will still accept applications by that time? or is it too late for the opening of SLMC-GC? thanks!

hi guys! im reading through the thread and im curious about the height and weight limit. and also something about being "second priority" because she doesn't have a perfect set of white teeth.. (so unfair). is it also true that they only accept applicants with a board rating of 80 and above? i passed last june2008 and i got 79.60.. shy of few points to being 80 :(

nevertheless, i still plan on submitting my application this june when i come home. do you think SLMC-GC still accepts application? or is it too late?

thanks and God Bless to all!

About the height and weight limit, I, myself was informed to be a 2nd priority after passing the Technical Interview because of weight issues. So thats definitely true. As for the Board Rating of 80 and up, I think this isn't true. My friend who had a rating of 78 is already undergoing the training. You can submit your application requirements BUT you should set your mind that SLMC-GC is currently on manpower pooling. I hope this helps. :)

to honeyko18, in regards with your queries, I myself got a low NLE score, much lower than yours, so it means that it really doesn't matter as long as you pass their initial examinations, initial and technical interviews. As of now, I haven't been called for training but the last time that I was there the NSET (nurse trainees) batch was at #16 (Almost two months ago). Since it is a 600 bed capacity hospital (SLMC-GC), they are targeting at least 1,000 staff nurses. Though they still consider late applications, there is a slimmer chance of getting in. During my medical exams, there were a few applicants who took their initial exams and initial interview at the same time, although they pass their requirements the same day (That was 2nd week of March, I believe). They are more strict in physique, most especially in girls. Me and my friend (female, 4'11" in height) passed our application online only a day apart, but it was only me who was called. Maybe they are considering height since the ideal nurses from decades ago were tall and slim. The thing that I noticed among the trainees is that they got fair to white complexion with no blemishes, same with guys. There was only 1 girl I saw who has a Pinoy skin. If it is just a coincidence that almost everybody is at their exact weight, with that complexion, and pretty. :) For such reasons that your friend became a second priority, it is due to provide medical tourism, simply means beauty and brains(?) I don't know, I don't consider myself good looking at all, it may be just a coincidence. But still, try to pass your application by June since SLMC-GC will open last quarter of 2009 (October perhaps), as what is stated at the construction firm who is in charge of building it.

hi.. did you just pass you resume online? Thanks.

I did, that was like september of last year. i got the email address from another social network. when my friend passed her application, she got a message that her application is in queue because of the pile of application the email got and unable to process it

guys my friend told me that she passed her application 2 weeks ago but the HR told her that they stopped hiring nurses. they are accepting resumes but for manpooling only. there's a very slim chance that you will be working in SLMC. the HR told my friend that if she wants, they can hire her as CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE (receptionist, taking care of patients well, making sure patients are satisfied, nurse-patient interaction, etc...).

I think there's nothing wrong with that but you cant count that as hospital experience...

That's gruesome.. we are all Registered Nurses so why would the HR offers a job as a Customer Service Associate? Even though we really need a job as a NURSE but still it's our credibility that is being at stake..
