  1. they just started the 3-month training so more or less 3 months from now. if i were you, ill pass my requirements ASAP! there are so many of you who's interested for that training.
  2. interview with the Nursing Director is just a personal interview. she will just ask where's your province, where do you live, if you have relatives who's working in MDH. When i applied there, they never asked me anything regarding nursing. I think they value the attitude and the personality more than the knowledge. TIps for the trainees and probationaries. NEVER BE LATE!!! They are strict in attendance. There are staff nurses who are on probation last time that did not get regularized because of attendance. Hopefully they will assign more than 5 nurses in the ORC. With the resignation of our 3 co-staff, 2 CIPs, 2 Maternity leave, we really lack manpower.
  3. if i were you guys, i'll apply in MDH ASAP! There's a massive nurse resignation lately because of better opportunities abroad. In the Department of Emergency Medicine, 8 nurses resigned on the last 3 months. In the ORC, 3 nurses will have their last duty today. In the ICU-ASU, i think there are 2 who resigned last month.
  4. probationary salary is only minimum wage. i don't know how much is it nowadays but when i was on probation, it's 8'500 more or less. if you will be promoted as a regular employee, you'll earn more than 10k but lesser than 20. Hahaha. sorry but were not allowed to disclose our salary. But i tell you...our salary compared to SLMC, Asian, MCU and TMC is a bit higher. If it's ok for you to go on overtime everyday for at least 5 hours a day (better salary) and if they ask you where do you want to be assigned, tell them you want to be assigned in the Operating Room Complex! Tip: When you're having your orientation, Mam *** will ask the class off guarded how will you feel if someone shout at you or someone cursed you...just tell her it's OK! I tell you...Operating Room is not for the faint-hearted nor for sad people.
  5. if i were you, i wont think of salary first. in this very rough times where supply of nurses are so abundant, you should be thankful if you will be hired in a tertiary, 300-bed capacity hospital. if i were you, i wont think of salary first. i will study hard instead because mdh exam isa wayyy harder than board exam. actually, mdh's exam is the hardest exam i took of all the hospitals where i got the chance to sit on an exam. if you want to have a better salary, work in the callcenter.
  6. I really want to work in other hospital because my current employer really abuse us! I'm assigned in the operating room and we have an average of 35 cases a day but the nurses are so limited! 4 of our nurses got pulled-out because of research and the other 2 gave birth. Our working hours is only 8 hour shift but because we're short of nurses, we always go on overtime for at least 5 hours a day!!! They are saying that they are paying our overtime but STILL it's not worth it because most of our OT pay just go to our taxes!!! Since I already have more than 3 years experience, I applied for Middle East since January but unfortuantely, Saudi, Qatar and Oman only accepts female nurses. I'm really depressed and frustrated...WHY DID I TAKE UP NURSING?!
  7. I applied last week in an agency for Libya. I expected that they will give me at least 80k pesos for my salary. But the lady showed me the papers that their salary limit is only 900LD. The lady really encouraged me to apply because I already have 3 years experience and working in a 300-bed capacity hospital but I opted not to pursue my application. I'd rather wait for Oman or Qatar who has higher salary offer and safer destination for us nurses.
  8. there will be a mass resignation on MDH this coming months. Most of them are singapore-bound. Afaik, more than 5 nurses will resign in the ER alone! so if i were you, apply to MDH asap!!!
  9. ^^ yes. but you'll be sure in. just want to clear thing out. the first one is when you undergo their 3 months training...jut like what mister eighteen went through. if MDH liked your performance, there's a high possibility they will hire you. the second one is their direct hire wherein you will not undergo their 3 months training. AFAIK, they only direct hire nurses if they are a graduate of Manila Doctors College, already have paid ursing experience or if they have a backer. in my batch, they hired at least half who took the 3-months training.
  10. If you will be assigned in ORC just pm me. I'll be glad to be your "welcoming committee" hehe
  11. the next batch will be on January.
  12. im currently working MDH. of course they will prioritize Manila Doctors College (now Manila Tytana Colleges) since it's their nursing school. If you don't have a backer, don't have hospital experience nor MDC grad, there's a very low chance of you getting hired. btw, they have a training program for nurses. 5k for 3 months. if you excel in this training, they will hire you.
  13. brigz replied to Dinx's topic in Philippines
just called best one agency. they told me that they only accept female applicants.
  14. well I know some people who graduated cum laude but they still dont have work. if you were of the top 10 in the board exam, you won't have a problem looking for work.
  15. Ms. Understood: you dont need hospital experience in UST. afaik, the schools that requires hospital experience are UP and PLM- at least 1 year PAID hospital experience (not volunteer) PWU- 2 years hospital experience
