Question about Job Hunting.

World Canada

Published

I am a new graduate and still job hunting-When I was a student I worked in a hospital near by for 3 months as a nurses aide and I still have the HR persons email that arranged the interview and sent me my agreement package at the time.. that was about a year ago. I am now looking to apply for RN positions but have had no luck, and I am looking to apply to a different unit than the one where i was placed as a nursing aide (Same hospital though). Do you think it would be strange to send my resume and cover letter directly to this specific person?

It is better to be politically correct and apply through the hospital's web site.

I see nothing wrong with emailing the HR contact asking them to please consider your resume'.

Good luck.

I don't think it would be strange at all. In today's job market you must utilize the tools that you have in order to get where you want. I would apply through the hospital's website first and THEN e-mail your contact and let them know that you have applied and attach your resume.

Good Luck.
