I think the valium salt lick should be in every waiting room!

You know you're a nurse when you've been on a medical sabbatical for five years...yet all you can think about is returning to nursing.

people dont recognize you in your cilvilian clothes..
and when you hear something beepng you imediately wonder whos alarm is going off.

where can I get one of those Valium Salt Licks??? I would like to place one in my family room and in the break room at work!!!!

You know you are a nurse when at your child's teacher calls on the pretense of discussing your child's progress and ends up talking about these "strange painful bumps" in her nether regions!!!!!!!! LOL

( true story... aren't i leading a charmed life??)

haha that's what the jello shots were in at the graduation party!!

Here are some of the (humorous) ways to tell if someone is a nurse:

They store their stethoscope over the rear-view mirror in their car

They have medical supplies in their homes/car that can normally be gotten only thru hospital

They wear scrubs to bed and around the house as though it was formal wear.

They look at you intensely (esp at the arms) for veins.

I hope you all find these humorous. Please feel free to add to this list as you all see fit. Should turn out to be a good laugh I would think.

LOL, good Nick. Today at an inservice on phlebotomy, the teacher forgot to bring tape (we where sicking each other). I reach into my bag and came up with 5 rolls! (Not to mention 100 alcohol swabs and even more IV caps!) This should make your list!
