You have got to hear the dream I had a few weeks ago.

I've worked 10 years in medical nursing. It's the night before I start my new job in Interventional Radiology. Before I wake up, I have this awful dream. I'm at work. taking care of this huge lady. must be 9 feet tall. in her 70's. almost blind, nearly deaf, dementia, strong, trying to get to the bathroom. pulled out her foley, iv on the floor. trying also to get her casts off both of her knees. urineand blood everywhere. oh lord help me.

Music comes on. Time to start my new job.:roll :roll :roll

maybe it's your new college in your new job.....

greetings Ton

Your just nervous about your new job just relax

and everything should be alright.

Take care venny173

You know what I hate? Those dreams where you're half awake and you think you're at work and that your patients are downstaires and you jump out of bed because you're sleeping on the job!:imbar

:chuckle

Dawn, thats funny!

How about when the phone rings or alarm clock rings you stumble out of bed to shut of the" IV pump "or heart monitor alarms only to have your hubby give you "THAT" look.

welcome to the wonderful world of interventional radiology. usually no urine--foley that is but plenty of big confused patients.

Hi Fran,

"Don't let the monkey bite you!" ;) You were just anxious/nervous about starting your new job, I think. It happens to the best of us! :)

Don't feel bad... I used to work as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher, and more than once when I was woken by the phone, I'd pick up and answer "9-1-1 Emergency".... Gee, caught some telemarketers off guard! My family got used to it, but it sure was embarassing! LOL

Ever have that dream where you have created an entire patient in your mind, then wake up in a panic because you forgot to give report on them!!!!!!!!!

Used to happen all the time as a new grad!

Okay, I'm an RNAC, responsible for care-planning on 184 residents. I've fallen asleep on the couch more than once, only to have my daughter wake up me up to tell me I was care-planning in my sleep. Not too long ago, I joined Weight Watchers. My daughter says that the last time she woke me up, I was saying in my sleep, "Well, did they care plan her points?!"
