A friend of mine worked in a tanning salon-you so don't want to know what people would find inside the tanning beds when they were taken apart

Just remember-you asked. Toenails, dried menstrual blood, a few unidentified green substances, a rotten tooth, and a condom or five. Is everyone enjoying their lunch hour as much as I am

My ex hasn't found any raccoons, snakes or bats in the computers he's dealt with, probably bcos we don't actually have snakes or raccoons in this country and the only two species of bats are rather rare (don't know anyone who's EVER seen one). Also a lack of rabies in this country tends to rule that one out as well. He's definitely seen the others though
What country do you live in? Sounds attractive.

I suppose I could be mean and make you work it out from the little flag icon but it is rather small... New Zealand is where I'm from, and I'm almost an RN (ie I have the degree but have to wait another 3 weeks to sit State (NZ equivalent of NClex))

Thank you. I have always been fascinated with Australia and New Zealand.

I had been out of LPN school for about...2 months. I was working at a Urgent Care Center and this lady came in one Sunday afternoon and couldn't sit down. I call her back and get her info and get her vitals and as why she is being seen today and she tells me that she has an area on her vagina that is really swollen and she can't sit down. I take her to a room, give her a gown, tell her to remove her panties. I sit up the gyno tray and go in with the FNP.
This lady had a labia majora abcess/boil/cyst that was about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide. I am glad she was laying down cause my jaw hit the floor! It was huge! The FNP told me to get the doc because she wanted his opinion. So I get him, he comes in and he is like "OH MY GOD!" lol...he tells the FNP that it was lancable, so she proceeds to lance this...thing and it oozes the foulest smelling pus ever! OMG it was horrible! The FNP packed it with idoaform and had her come back the next day and it was so much better!

A few days later a guy comes in with a sebacous cyst on his back, the FNP (a different one) went to lance it and is squirted like 3 feet up in the air...I think I gagged alittle on that one.

This one happened before I started nursing, when I was an RT. I was asked by the patient's nurse, to get a sputum sample. Okay, that's pretty routine . . . the patient had bronchiectasis. I tell him what I need him to do and hand him the specimen cup . . . he generates a good cough and then this huge, green, oyster-sized blob of sputum comes out of his mouth and fills 2/3 of the sputum cup!!!! One cough!!

He then grabbed his emesis basin and proceeded to cough and bring up sputum . . . filled half the emesis basin with the same green sputum!!

Now, as an RT, I was pretty used to sputum . . . but this made me queasy!!!!
