OK Davey Do, sorry but I'm letting the cat of the bag...hey everyone, Davey's real name is Gary Larson of the "Far Side" cartoons. Gary was a long term inpatient in Wrongway Medical Center (the setting for Generic Hospital) for cutting off the heads of parking meters. He was ultimately played by Steve McQueen in the movie Cool Hand Luke for this act of mental illness. For many years Gary used his Far Side cartoons to finance on-line nursing classes from Vinnie's International Institute of Mel Nurses and Transmission Repair Shop. He finally graduated in the early 90's when he retired from the Far Side one day, walked out of his hospital room, the same day, to the nurses station wearing scrubs and a name tag stating "Davey Do, RN, Patient Psychiatric Services" where you've know him as Davey Do ever since.
