Ideal number of references for a new grad?

Hello!

I am currently completing my final semester of practical nursing, will be graduating in December. I was wondering what the ideal number of references is for a new grad applying for jobs ... do managers like to see a specific number?

Most applications/employers specify the number they want.

It usually says on the job application, or the employer will ask for references once you move on in the process.

Agreed with PPs. If you are thinking and planning ahead, however, I would secure 3-5 references ready to place on your applications.
