That was awesome and hilarious! I will soon be joining the nursing field once I graduate in May and I am starting to get a little nervous about my first job as a RN. Thank you for the reminder that bad things happen that are out of our control, but how we respond to them is up to us. Some days will be stressful and overwhelming. I hope that I can learn to laugh about them too.

I love CheesePotato's articles, especially the one about preceptors (Dear Nursing Students/Orientees: A Love Note from the Preceptor from Hell). LOVED IT. Wish she would post more.

LOL! Made my day! Thanks for the post. This really should be mandatory reading! The phrase "Fake it 'till you make it" rings more true the longer I practice.

I loved her writing so much! I've always wondered what happened to her, one day, she just left. I've hoped something unpleasant didn't happen.

Has anyone ever heard from her?

I so needed this today. After a day of nothing but call lights, bed alarms, crazy patients and eternal short staffing I was seriously considering leaving my job for something better. My mesh pants were nearly at their limit today. This helps.
