what is phil bsn in Ca

I am a BSN grad from the phil.now in ca with ssn and applied for Nclex with IP..waiting for my ATT.What can I do if I am not eligible or if I fail...

What are my benefits from a phil.bsn degree here in CA..

Is there an equivalency or something so I could get my education evaluated?

If you have applied for licensure in CA they are evaluating your education.

ok but how do they evaluate it?does CA bon know how Phil.curriculum works?..is there a comparison of some sort?...:scrying:

They look at your transcripts and see if your training meets the training requirements that CA schools have to follow

It doesn't matter how the cirriculum works in the Phil.If it doesn't meet their requirements you will not be approved.

I applied in last March with IP..what do u do as an LVN?where do u reside if u dont mind me asking...

then how come a rew of my batchmates made it even if they are not us citizens they are permanent residents like me..??:rolleyes:

It has nothing to do with citizenship.It has to do with meeting the requirements of the CA BON.They are now enforcing the guidelines for acceptance more rigorously than they have in the past.

RmCU_nA: The last time I worked as an LVN was 4 yrs ago then I decided to go in the Phils where I got my BSN. I just graduated this year in April. The job description of LVN is almost similar from RN, the only thing that are not allowed is to give IV's. BON CA received my application last june 5th, I'm still waiting for their response. It says in their website that it will take about 4-6 weeks to process the application so I have until first week of July. I am hoping to be eligible to take the nclex-rn since I have extra duty and theory hours from my LVN class. I live in LA, how about you? If your batchmates applied before the April, 2010 inception date of the stricter CA BON requirement, then maybe that's why they got in? If it's after that month and year, then I would give the CA BON the names of your batchmates and how they got their ATT but you didn't, along with the schools name. I am sure they could look it up in the computers.

If I had someone I knew that got in, under the SAME EXACT classes, clinicals, school, same time you got your degree, under my situation, I would see if they might give me the slight chance that the CA BON will give a chance for the ATT.
