World Registration

I am starting this thread as a sticky at the request of one of our members, for a place for those that wish to emigrate from the US to work as an RN.

Please feel free to post your concerns and questions about working overseas here.

Hello Allnurses members out there !

My question refers to moving back to Europe: Uk or Ireland.

I will actually be eligible for US citizenship next year, then I would have double citizenship, because originally I am a Romanian national. Would love to practice as an RN in Europe. I have recently graduated an ADN program and passed the NCLEX on first try , so now i am licensed as an RN in CA. Are there any opportunities for nurses that have less than 2 years experience and want to practice overseas? Any advice, would be greatly appreciated ! Thank you :)

I would like to know if anyone has information about working in Panama as a RN. Or the other prospect is opening a business to work as a RN and hiring local nurses

Thanks

I doubt there are many countries that will accept LPN in regards to meeting requirements for a work/immigrant visa. Most countries will require RN to meet requirements. EU definitely will require RN and I think Australia and New Zealand is the same however Australia may accept LPN if you already have a immigrant/work visa allowing you to work in the country but if main applicant I believe LPN will not meet Australia requirements

For Suzanne4 or Silverdragon102,

I have the accelerated BSN (I wish I would have known that it is basically unaccepted everywhere). I have a few questions that I would be SO grateful if you could take a moment to answer.

1) If someone with an acc. BSN has 10 years nursing experience (for example), would the UK consider that sufficient clinical time?

2) Is it correct to say that for the most part it is accepted by Canada? (One of my classmates who got the acc BSN is going to take the CRNE in Oct).

3) Have you ever heard of someone maybe going back to school in the US just to get more clinical hrs so it would work (Is that even possible)?

Thank you in advance for any advice you could give me!!

Currently the NMC doesn't accept accelerated BSN however I do believe it is based individually and will depend on your transcripts. Years experience doesn't count towards clinical as generally clinical requirements are whilst in school.

Regarding Canada I am not sure and again I think will depend on the information you submit

Have not heard of anyone going back to school to get clinical or theory requirements

how do I determine if an international agency is legit I am moving to Riyadh saudia Arabia with my husband and want to continue working as an RN

Where would I apply to work overseas for the US embassy?

Does the US embassy employ nurses?

I'm interested in continuing my education and pursuing a higher degree in Spain, possibly work, if permitted. I currently have an associate degree. Does anyone have any information, suggestion, or comment?

Thanks in advance!
