World Registration

Since nmc put on hold all the papers and resume this year, is there anyone who was put on queue this 2013 and received the decision letter? I would like to know if 90 days waiting period really followed. Its really frustrating knowing that it only took 1 month before to process this. Please share your experiences. Thanks!

Thanks so much edong! Yes im here in riyadh.. Another thing that delayed me when i went to scfhs last time was this woman from the ladies registration department who said they wouldnt do the verification unless it is my company's liaison officer doing the transaction in my place.i wAs really ****** off.that was the second time that sAme person from the ladies desk refused to entertain me.anyway thank you so much for the info..are you done with all the forms included in pack 2?

You're welcome Rabinski.

I never knew that there should be someone to liaise on your behalf because in my case, I was the one who processed the verification myself and I encountered no problem. My advise is that before going back there, give them a call at 920019393 and an agent will speak to you and tell her your concern and ask for some advice.

Fortunately, the NMC has received and scanned all of the documents that I forwarded to them last 12-05-14 and as of the moment I am waiting for the decision letter or any revisions that I have to do. But I am keeping my fingers crossed that every document was filled out, signed and stamped properly according to their requirement. The agent actually told me to phone them by mid June to follow up if they have already come up with a decision, or just wait for the letter that they will send to my address.

If you have other concerns, feel free to ask and I will try to get back to you as soon as I can for I too, am doing a 12-hour shift and I just came back from duty now.

Hi Edong and Rabinski!

I am currently working in Saudi Arabia too. I took my IELTS academic module just this January 2014, and I got my 1st NMC application pack last March 10. I sent it back last March 31 through post and it has reached NMC on April 17. However, NMC asked for an authenticated photocopy of my Saudi Council Certificate as a replacement document for the one I previously sent them in pack 1. I sent them a photocopy only of my Saudi council ID the first time, so I thought that since they're asking for an authenticated photocopy this time around, I asked Saudi Council to stamp it as an authenticated photocopy instead. I sent back the SCFHS replacement doc last June 8 through Saudi Post, and I'm waiting for the 2nd pack at the moment. Did I send the right Saudi Council Certificate? Is it the one you submitted to NMC too? Is it possible to send the documents for my 2nd pack via a courier like FedEx or DHL? Saudi Post is really taking ages for me to send and receive my NMC packs. In pack 2, you have mentioned about the SCFHS verification certificate from Riyadh. I am working in Gassim, so I want to know also if it's available in provincial branches. I hope and pray to finally get my pack 2 and get the requirements done. I am planning not to renew my contract here in Saudi Arabia which will expire on December 2014. I also have ongoing applications in the agencies in the Philippines for nurses bound for UK. Do you think it is wise to leave my job here while waiting for the pack 2 and decision letter? How long would it normally take to get my decision letter? I'm really confused right now. Please give me advice.

Hi stylish_gem. First, regarding the Saudi Council Certificate, I submitted the Professional Accreditation Certificate, which is the same as the Certificate of Passing or Board Certificate from PRC. I had it photocopied and translated here in Saudi and also I had it certified as a true copy of the original by a lawyer when I went back to the Phils. for my annual vacation. It was intended for my application in another country but I pulled it out for my NMC application. By the way, I still added my Saudi License, that is a certified copy of the original as well, when I submitted by full application pack. You may use other courier services if you so wish to expedite the process of sending. Meanwhile, included in the second/full application pack is a nurse verification form that you have to submit to SCFHS and PRC for them to accomplish. I also am from Gassim, in Buraydah to be exact, so I advice you to go directly to the main Saudi Council branch because they advised me here that it could take them up to 3 months to finish the form for you, whereas it only took me a week to have it done when I opted to heed their advice to proceed directly to their main branch in Riyadh. Well, I do not advice you to resign without the decision letter because as for my case, my agent told me to wait for their go signal before I submit my resignation or end my employment here. Just so you know, I've been waiting for a month and 6 days now and my file is still on queue, meaning still never been looked at but the waiting time actually would be 90 days and it could take longer if additional documents shall be required. Good luck on your application and be patient.

Hi Edong!

It's a coincidence that we are both in Gassim. I am working 3 hours away from Buraydah though as I am at the boundary of Gassim and Riyadh. Ironically, we are not allowed to go to Riyadh unless a very close family member asks permission on behalf of us. It would be seldom that a nurse of single status can go there unless it's urgent like family matters. Are you working for the Ministry of Health too? How did you manage to go to Riyadh? Did your hospital allow you? In my case, my best option would be to ask help from one of my closest friends in Riyadh to have the verification of registration accomplished by the main branch of SCFHS in Riyadh. What do they need for the verification form? Is it just a sign and stamp from the SCFHS? I also wanted my SCFHS professionsl regulation certificate to be translated, but I don't know where to do it. Can you tell me where did you have it translated? I have applications in various agencies in the Philippines including Greenfields International and ASC Global, but I have not been set for skype interview yet. I cannot attend a face-to-face interview since my vacation is due only this December 2014 which is also supposedly the end of my contract in case I hand in my resignation. However, it is seldom that there would be a skype interview for overseas applicants in these agencies. They told me to keep them updated until I get my decision letter. I thought of leaving my job because my IELTS expiry will be on January 2016, so if I recontract for another year until December 2015, my IELTS will be near expiry by then. It would only mean that I have to take again the academic module and I'm afraid that I would have to redo the entire NMC application process. I still have less than 6 months until my contract expiry this year. Do you think I will finally get my decision letter until the time I resign? I am in a great dilemma right now. I need advice please.

Hi Rabinski!

I'm on the same boat as you. Resignation this year is one of my options too. My email address is [email protected]

I hope everything will turn out well for all of us!

Hi all. I am also processing my NMC because I am hired as a nurse in KCH. Will be leaving this July. However I am still in Pack 1. My concern is, I already sent my notarized copy Saudi registration certificate (the one they gave, its like a PRC board certificate and is written in arabic), notarized copy of Saudi Council ID and certificate of good moral. When I called NMC, they told me that they need the certificate of registration in Saudi. I already sent it but it was not translated into english. Is it really necessary for it to be translated? With my friend's case, he also complied all with translation however they keep asking for the certificate. Does anyone here experience the same problem?

Also, I heard from some nurses who are already there, no need for the pack 2 to be sent to Saudi council for completion. only the certificate of good standing with a letter explaining why no signature from the saudi council. according to them, saudi council does not sign anymore. myfriend also called saudi council and they are not familiar with that process. sometimes they just accept payment but they do not forward it to NMC especially for nurses who already resigned and exited saudi. maybe it will work for current RNs working in saudi

As per the NMC website

Translations

If you submit documents to us which are not written in English, you must also

provide us with an English translation. The translation must be:

 Produced by a qualified translator.

 Attached to the original copy of the document.

The translator should confirm in English writing that the translation is an exact

translation of the original document. The translator should also provide their

contact details (telephone, address and/or email address).

When i submitted my pack 1,i had problems securing a certificate of registration as my employer didnt want to give me a copy unless im leaving the country so i provided them with a cert.of good standing and copy of my license card here in saudi but they still required me to submit the said certificate.what i did was to go directly to SCFHS to get a the document,I also had it translated there before sending it to NMC.My advise is for you to have it translated and send it to them to avoid any delay.

By the way,may I ask what your agency is? Im currently completing the requirements for my pack 2 application and waiting to go back to thephiliipines to apply in agencies.thanks!
