NCLEX in OREGON anyone?

hi im also a graduate BSN in Philippines and too bad im affected with concurrency issue in California.. i dont wanna go back to school because of the expensive tuition fee that i might handle thats why im still looking for a hope that i can sit Nclex to other state.. im planning to try Oregon, anyone here who tried Oregon? are they still open and not implementing Concurrency issue? thank you so much! me and my husband just moved here in Washington state and i believe washington is one of the state that implementing concurency issue now.. im still not losing hope! kababayan pls let me know your experiences thank you so much!

I believe there was a poster that tried Oregon. Have not recalled if said poster was successful in Oregon.

You can always search the forum for the thread.

Also, if you intend to stay in Oregon to work and live, by all means, apply. It is up to Oregon BON to deny or approve your application.

Hi Diana. Oregon does not implement the concurrency requirement. :)

OR at this point in time does not have any concurrency rule or enforcement that we know of, but they are enforcing the 3 year rule, that is, one will be denied the ATT if they graduated more than 3 years ago.

Based on my understanding of the post in the thread, you will be denied if you graduated more than 3 years ago AND you do not have a (hospital) experience or any nursing experience of some sort.

Graduating more than 3 years ago will not automatically mean a denial of ATT from OSBN. I am speaking based on personal experience. I graduated more than 3 years ago and I have more than the required 960-hour experience. OSBN declared me eligible and PearsonVue released my ATT thereafter.

I have sent an application for Oregon last week. Feeling confident that I will have my ATT. So how does pearson vue works? Do I pick a date on when we want to take the exam or do I wait for the eligibility?

You can choose to wait for the eligibility before applying with Pearson Vue just to be sure about it. Once deemed eligible by OSBN, you can proceed with your payment with Pearson Vue for the NCLEX-RN Exam. PV will release your ATT once OSBN informs them of your eligibility. You can now schedule your exam. If you decide to take it in a test center outside the US, you'd have to pay an additional $150. :)

I RECEIVED MY ELIGIBILITY FOR OREGON!!!! It took exactly 1 month to process my application. I'm a March 2012 graduate, with a philippine nursing license and a toefl score of 85.

To DianaBG10: do you have the 960 hours of hospital experience (if you graduated more than 3 years ago)?
