International Graduates that are successful in applying and taking the NCLEX.

World Registration

Hello everyone!

I wanted to hear the stories of international grads who had the success of getting their ATT from different states.

We know that some states are not as open as other states with international graduates. Mostly due to lack of hours, theories and cases issues.

NRSKarenRN posted: These are states having concerns over concurrent therory and practicum, so I would look at other 37 states to obtain license:

Alabama

Arizona

California

Georgia

Illinois

Kansas

Louisiana

Maryland

North Dakota

Oklahoma

Vermont

Virginia

Washington

If there are international graduates who have had the success in acquiring an ATT and taking the exam please share your story. I believe that a majority of us need a shed of light and regain some hope.

I'm from INDIA, studied Diploma in Nursing (3.5yrs) in India.

Applied to CA BRN in 2009.

After 1.5 yrs, after all satisfied paper work got Accepted to sit in NCLEX-RN & got ATT from PERSON VUE.

But unfortunately couldn't pass it. (bcoz its been 4 yrs I'm out of RN Program so Need a Strong review of it.)

We're in the same situation! I've been out of school for 4 years also. I just took my nclex rn last march 27 and passed it on my first try. I suggest you take hurst review and read Saunders cover to cover. You need to build your core content! Goodluck!

Where did you go to school for your deficiencies? Do you mind sharing that info? Thanks

She went to a school in AZ. Click here for her success story: https://allnurses.com/world-nursing/received-att-california-832461.html

Hello i'm glad i found your thread, I'm having a dilemma right now on what to put on the date on the section: when you requested to have your CGFNS evalution report, was it on the date the report was issued or the date you ordered the CES report? I am applying for Hawaii state. I know this thread was posted 2 yrs ago but I'm hoping you'll reply. Thank u so much! :))

Hi Katrine24... have you heard anything from Hawaii board at this moment? Thanks

Hi! I'm a graduate of 2011 and took my NCLEX in 2013 after being rejected by California for the concurrency issues. I got accepted for Nevada and is now working here in Las Vegas as a nurse and I'm loving it! (no traffic, worldwide events happen here, UFC fights, no traffic, boxing matches, world tournaments and did I say no traffic?). While living in LA I worked as a hospital-based paramedic/EMT while I was processing papers for my NCLEX and most of my coworkers are nursing students who got directly hired by the hospital once they got their license since they are already working inside (hence the term internal hires). Too bad my license is in Nevada so I couldn't get hired at the hospital where I worked at. I was not required to take further classes for Nevada but I heard some people in my situation were. Oh and I was also accepted for Florida but I got my ATT for NV just after I paid almost $600 for Florida's application (plus their CGFNS expedited review). i should have used that money for gambling... oh i mean charity, lots of charity here.

Anyway Good luck guys, think positive!

Hi Guys! im planning to take nclex-rn in Arizona this year 2015, i graduated last may 2008, ive been working as a staff here in pasig, philippines since 2010.

is there anyone here who can help me with the steps i need to take? i did some research,, and i registered at cgfns, applied for ces professional and paid them $350 for the fee, now they're just waiting for the tor and prc documents.

im still processing my application to arizona bon, am i doing it right,,?

I think it's best to call the Arizona BON themselves as requirements vary from state to state. They may require you to pass them some documents while you are waiting for your cgfns-ces results. Best of luck!

dont need to do anything until AZ BON get in touch once they review your application after all docs received from CGFNS

Hi Sir Silverdragon102, RN, I received an email last March 21, 2015 from CGFNS saying, that they already forwarded my CES Prof. Report to AZ BON, however, I'm still not getting any message from them. :(

Have you applied to AZ BON? If you have maybe contact the BON and speak to them

*Sir*Silverdragon102,* I have not applied yet,, should I proceed with the application?

You need to apply to the state otherwise nothing will happen with your application
