International Ceritificate Verification from NYSED

Hello,

I am Maria and I applied for NY state nursing license from India on July 13. On April 2014, I received an email asking me to send the original marksheets to the NYSED, and I send them in 2 weeks. But since then I havnt heard any thing back from them. I am wondering if any body went through any thing similar and what you guys may have done.

Any input will be really helpful.

I dont have any clue how long I need to wait to write the exam and get the license :(

Did you apply for cvs (credential verification service) from CGFNS first? NY won't consider applications from IEN without a CVS report

Thanks JustBeachyNurse. Yes We submitted for CVS from CGFNS and they completed it. Then they forward it to NY board, and later after a month I was asked to submit marksheets from my college. It's almost 4 months and no news so far. Whenever I call, I will be waiting for hours and finally the call gets dropped.. :(

On average CVS takes 6 months to complete

Once you have sent application to NY BON then can take between 1-2 months to get answer as the board only meets I believe once a month to discuss IEN applications

When I called last Friday they said the application is with the certificate review section and transferred the call to them, but then another long wait which eventually dropped off...

Does anybody know any direct number we can reach for proper response? Also, will it help if I directly go to the BON office in Albany NY and enquire?

Try to send an email queries direct to NYSED. I did that before and they replied. good luck!
