I applied to new mexico and got rejected because the BON of NM says. Texas is one of their compact states and i was just wondering if Texas requires PNLE when applying or is it the same with NM that doesn't...thank you for those who will respond...

What is PNLE? Texas & New Mexico are compact states so for example I live in New Mexico & that is my "home" state. I had a Texas license before the compact, so that license was retired but I can practice in Texas as they recognize the New Mexico RN license.

I also have a Texas NP license. My friend just moved from Texas to New Mexico and had to change her "home" state from Texas to New Mexico.

have you checked out Texas BON requirements for IEN?

Are you a resident of New Mexico? You cannot apply to another compact state while residing in a compact state. Your application will automatically be rejected. If you live in NM and were rejected by the BoN you cannot try and circumvent the system by applying to another compact state unless you move your permanent residence. If you live overseas you are ineligible for a multi state license anyway.

Yes, you need to pass PNLE to get licensed in Texas because one of Texas BON's requirement for a foreign education nurse to be issued a license is that the must have practiced Nursing for atleast 2 years in the last 4 years preceeding their application.

Ive read elsewhere on the forum though, that if you graduated only in the last, say 1 to 3 years then Texan BON might not require that you have the practice. But the people who have cited so passed their PNLE.

PNLE is Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam.

my situation is i graduated last 2013 and i have not taken the PNLE and the requirments got me confused in regards withe VOL coz it says that Verification of Licensure (VOL) from all countries, states, provinces and/or territories you hold or haveheld a license as a first-level, general nurse, if applicable..

if applicable

What you need is a certificate of no examination from PRC. The certificate basically says that you haven't taken the licensure exam and also telling the BON's you're trying to apply to that there's no license to verify.
