CA BVNPT - LVN inquiries and updates for international students

Hi, I thought it'd be best for all the international students that are having the issues with the CA BON due to the stricter enforcement of the rules and regulations and are now having to take another nursing route that of being a LVN, taking the tests related to being an LVN, transference of your records from the CA BON to BVNPT, etal, would be best served here rather than being posted in the other LVN-LPN forum, since that forum is geared more towards those educated in the States.

The other few forums of the CA Board of Nursing, CA RN NCLEX-RN, etc are getting too cluttered now, since the situation of going after the RN license is different than the LVN license.

Hope this helps you guys out more and best of luck!

That's good news. good luck! May I ask what year you graduated?

Batch 2005...;)took my 1st Nclex-RN exam last year, six years after graduation because I thought then that I dont need it and was contented working in my home country Philippines during that time plus NCLEX exam is very expensive, but when my petition was approved no choice but to take it so I can work here related to my profession...sadly failed and when I reapplied got denied because of the concurrency issue..but it didnt stop me from there next step decided to apply for LVN licensure exam, and thats my story hehehe...sorry for a long answer from a short question....;)

hi melai!!

Hi proudpinay and kayakoto, did you guys filled-up the part wherein they're asking if you are a registered nurse to other country? if so, did you wrote down your local PRC license? just wanna know if I will write down my license info in the application because from the other topics that I read that he or she is asking to give his/her local license to the bvnpt? Have you encountered that? I don't want to surrender my local PRC license if that so... thank you in advance for answering my inquiry.

did you take the test? any problem with pharm?

thanks much

Just to update you guys, I got my BVNPT eligibility yesterday!!! it took 6 mos tho, but still thankful ;)

Thanks everyone and Goodluck to us!

Did you contact Pearson Vue?

Did you contact Pearson Vue?

I did, they said the board hasn't cleared yet my application.

It's confusing because I received my eligibility last December 2013 from the board. They said to contact the board about this, but up to now the board hasn't answered back yet. And we all know how difficult to contact the board. :(

I want to challenge the LVN exam, and have already submitted my records to the CA BRN long time ago. How do you request the CA BRN to transfer your records? Do you write them a letter, call them? Thank you in advance.
