CA BVNPT - LVN inquiries and updates for international students

Hi, I thought it'd be best for all the international students that are having the issues with the CA BON due to the stricter enforcement of the rules and regulations and are now having to take another nursing route that of being a LVN, taking the tests related to being an LVN, transference of your records from the CA BON to BVNPT, etal, would be best served here rather than being posted in the other LVN-LPN forum, since that forum is geared more towards those educated in the States.

The other few forums of the CA Board of Nursing, CA RN NCLEX-RN, etc are getting too cluttered now, since the situation of going after the RN license is different than the LVN license.

Hope this helps you guys out more and best of luck!

Hello everyone. I am new on this site.. I just submitted my application to take the NCLEX-PN and yes I was denied for NCLEX RN..MY analyst said he will forward my transcripts and any other documents to the LVN board so I didnt bother to fill up record of nursing program(55A-2), record of Nursing experience(55A-3), employment experience and 54 hours pharmacology. I have a question..WHAT IS DECLARATION OF NURSING EDUCATION?..is this the TOR and RLE? or is this a form we need to fill up and send to BVNPT..please please anyone out there who could help me with this

Thanks. Donna of San Diego CA

After the BVNPT reviews your application, the declaration form comes after they give your application the initial okay, but it's still not the full 100% approval yet.

DECLARATION OF NURSING ADUCATION is a form needed to be filled out and returned to them. and i also received the declaration letter. if you have time, here's my eadd [email protected] so that we can help each other! God bless!

Check out the other tpoic under "Declaration of the nursing education and licensure", it's detailed a bit more there.

hi everyone! im wondering if anyone of you got eligibility yet after submitting the declaration of nursing education? i already filled up mine as much i can i tried to remember my everything and would like to put everything,up to the last clinical i have, im just trying to be sure. i dont like to get denied again. let us know, and lets help each other with all these problems! i know our lord god have a great plan for all of us affected by california bon rn

so anyone got their eligibility yet?

Hello Guys, im also planning to apply to take tle LPN here in CA, just wanna make sure coz they were asking for a copy of high school diploma, so is it ok even though its just a photocopy and not a certified true copy from the school?? coz i luckily found a copy of my high school diploma and it will be a long process again if they do nees a certified true copy from the school! cheers!

Proof of 12th Grade Education – Attach proof of 12th grade education or its equivalent. A copy of your high school diploma or GED Certificate is acceptable. :)

1) Since we have already submitted a TOR to BRN, and they say they can forward those documents to BVNPT, do we still have to get another TOR from our school? and another live scan as well?

2) So in summary, is it safe to ask our school for RECORD of NURSING PROGRAM only? The rest of the documents will be submitted by BRN to BVNPT, except those indicated in Step # 1 (Basic Documents). Am I good to go with that?

3) When is the right time to ask the BRN to transfer those papers to BVNPT? - mainly the TOR and the live scan.

Just to update you guys, I got my BVNPT eligibility yesterday!!! it took 6 mos tho, but still thankful ;)

Thanks everyone and Goodluck to us!
