CA BRN New Requirements For NCLEX RN international students

I had already registered online in Pearson Vue but I think I'm not yet eligible to take the test. Is there an expiration date for my registration at PV?

I received a letter from CA BON requesting for new requirements such as:

  1. SS number
  2. Local license in the Philippines
  3. Copy of ur clinical rotation schedule for your cases: Assisted/Actual deliveries, cord dressing, and major/minor surgeries
  4. A complete school curriculum hundred pages or more sent directly from ur nursing school to the board. (the board doesn't accept the condensed version of the curriculum
  5. A one-page curriculum outline and academic calendar.

Fortunately, I had the first 2 requirements but I am worried that the last 3 will take time to be accomplished.

I am wondering if it's just me who have this requirement. Most of NCLEX passers I know weren't required on those listed above. It's really hard to focus on review while your thinking of this :uhoh3:

i also dont know what to do.. im from va, its strict here.. i dnt know what state will i apply in taking nclex.. :(

that is easy as in cali before..

Try another state.. Don't ever lost your hope.. I'm in the same boat.. I wasted my money for reapply.. I got the same letter what everybody got..

Im planning to apply in Hawaii or NYC. Im just not sure if i can endorse it here in CA. Moving out of the country is not an option for me so i dont know. :(

I doubt it as the process is the same when trained overseas

hi! i'M a graduate of lanting too and planning to take my license in california. I'm currently living now in hawaii. What happened to your application? did you go to our school to ask them about your problem? i tried to email them today and ask them if our curriculum matches the cali BON requirements and asked their advise. Hopefully they will reply me. hope to hear from u...:)

guys, just want to ask you here regarding how many weeks did the CABON replied to your application? I passed all my docs last week of February. then my lacking docs on 1st week of May.. Its like prolonging my agony..

i have the same sentiments too. i failed the nclex 4times already. and i got denied also. does anybody here applied for NEW YORK state? do you know how long would it take to process before you can get your eligibility and how much would it cost you for the processing alone? and do they require the clinical rotations too?

CVS takes approx 6-8 months to get eligibility to sit NCLEX and that is if they receive all your documentation in a timely manner. Processing costs are on the CGFNS website as well as NY application costs are on the NY BON website

Hi there! Did you get a reply from the school? Did they say the curriculum is concurrent with the requirements of CA BON?

Hi mjhay sorry for the late reply. I'm still waiting for the reply of BRN. My school send already all the requirements they asked. About the LVN did you send all the requirements in method #3? Or we just need to write to BRN to request a copy of our transcript. I will send my application in BVN maybe tom. Do you have ym of fb so i can message you? Godbless
