  5. Hi everyone! I recently downloaded apps to help with my nclex rn review. I was wondering if anybody here have used them? Im a bit skeptical when it comes to review apps because i always think about how the book is so much better and that apps aren't that reliable BUT, i get bored with just the book and figured that this can add a different approach in learning. These are the apps that i got and i would love to receive a feedback from you guys! :) thank you 1.) NCLEX MASTERY (I love the mnemonics and how they are classified and easy to understand and the normal lab values are categorized. Some values are different with my Kaplan Book though) 2.) LIPPINCOTT'S HEALTH NCLEX RN (I personally fell in love with the Fast Facts, you can pick a topic and it will give you an overview of it. Its easy to understand.) 3.) NCSBN'S RXFLASHCARDS (This, i haven't tried much except for the first 10 Q that i tried when i first downloaded it.) All inputs are welcome! i am also open to suggestions :) Im just trying to find other ways to make studying a lil bit fun and easy as i have been out of school for 3 yrs. yikes!
  6. Hi! I sent you a private message! :)
  7. Hello fellow test takers! Im from L.A :)
  8. OMG. It took 10mos? O_O thats a really long wait. Yeah i am. :) did you have a hard time applying though? like is there any issues with regards to international graduates? Oh and congratulations on passing the boards! :) must feel good huh?
  9. Hi! Im a foreign grad too! Just wanted to ask how long did the application process for bvnt took? :) thank you!
  10. Im a foreign grad too! :) where in CA do u guys live?
  11. @Miniangel2 how are you preparing for the nclex-rn? Do u mind sharing? :) The concurrency issue is for Cali Brn and other states only but pretty soon i heard all other states will do the same. Are you in NYC? @marinesgirl hi there! Do you live in NYC too? :) **Im currently residing in California right now but will move to NYC once i pass my NCLEX-RN. If you are in NYC and wanted to do online review, let me know. However, if you are in cali and doesn't live too far from me, maybe we could meet up and review together :)
  12. Hi kababayans! Im in the same situation as you guys, i graduated 3 yrs ago though, and I'm about to take it this coming september. Are you both residing in new york? Don't give up! i took my first attempt last May 2011 but didn't pass all because i didn't review and that was mainly my fault. It was my mistake that i did not reapply immediately and i got stuck with the concurrency drama. Finally, after figuring out what to do with my life, i decided to once again want to give Nclex-Rn another shot, im having a hard time memorizing the content as ive been out of school for 3 yrs now. They said not to memorize but i dont know the content anymore and i dont know what to do and how to review. But anyway, if you guys want to review together let me know :)
  13. Hi klofu! Really? that would be great! Thankyou! :)
  14. Hi BriManRN! Sadly, no. I cant afford it right now because I'm not working. But thank you for the recommendation :)
  15. Okay, so ive been out of school for 3 years now. i took nclex last 2011 and unfortunately, did not pass. Then i got stuck with all the concurrency issues with cali brn and now that i can finally sit for nclex, Any tips on how to REALLY review for Nclex RN? I know i cant memorize everything but im really having a hard time with the whole "review" process. Do i have to stick with memorizing stuff or just read them and do as much questions as possible? This would be my 2nd attempt and hoping to be my last. Any inputs on how you reviewed for nclexRN? Perhaps i should try a new approach. Btw, im taking mine maybe mid sept. :/ My materials are as follow: 1.Kaplan course book 13th edition. 2. lippincott's CD for practice questions 8th Ed 3. Mosby's memory notecards (pathophysiology) 4. Saunder's CD for practice questions 5the Ed Do i need to have other books as reference or kaplan would be fine? All opinions are welcome and thank you for taking the time to share your inputs! :)
