Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

no. 600 is A business short stay visa just like the 456..

Hello. No, it is not required. You will be trained for bls and acls during the bp.

Thank you belle_v2g . I was just worried because a friend told me that there are schools requiring a bls/acls cerification before they admit you for bp. Am waiting for my LOE now. Hope it will be soon.

Hi IJustWantToBeHappy. Sorry I was not checking allnurses for awhile. Do you have your visa already? Yes, attach your Diploma. For my nursing credentials, I just attached a copy of my nursing license, OTR, Diploma, NCLEX pass letter, CGFNS cert. other documents, Bank certs, NBI, IELTS, LOE and offer letter. I didn't include my family's passports or birth certificates since they won't be coming with me. Good luck on your visa.:)

My email add is [email protected] thanks. Did you call the sdp or the embassy? My uncle called the sdp yesterday but was told that there's no grant notice yet from the embassy.

Hi.

i just sent the pre reading. do you have your visa na?

no need to certify it. I sent mine through email and ACN acknowledged it. reminded me to send my confirmation letter for the september intake. anyway, congrats. see you in september.

It's okay. :) I get the feeling too. :) Anyways I don't know but I never heard of a TB vaccine before. The TB test is the PPD/mantoux test. You can avail that to any pediatrician (yup, according to the doctor I had my immunizations with, Pediatricians are the ones who do the test nowadays). So I don't think you would be needing a BCG vaccine for it. But please ask your doctor about it first to be sure. Where are you from by the way? E-learning is okay. Yup the workbooks are fine. :) Basic concepts, nursing in australia, english learning, etc.. just find time to accomplish those. :)

Yqu can find cheaper accommodations near ihna on gumtree or easyroommate websites. 3000 for an accommodation is really expensive.

Anyone, can i ask if having masters degree in nursing accepted in Australia? Will it increase your chances of getting sponsorship that easily? Thank you so much :)
