Co-worker talking behind my back "did i handel this right"

Nurses Relations

There are some days I fell like I am still in school (5th grade) :uhoh3: today I found out that a co-worker (the boss's pet ) was going around and talking behind my back . My boss had been giving me evil looks all day and I did not know why ? I was then told that this co-worker was talking about me behind my back , Among other things he was bragging about being able to get the temps fired and had some kind of pool going as to how long it would be tell I was fired . He has openly said he hates he  and I have no idea way I hadly talk to him and have done nothing to him ..

anyway I had to decide wether to talk to him one on one or talk to my boss ? I called my boss because I wanted her to know that what he was saying was not true before I got written up (again ) on his word , he said she would handel it and later he came over and said he was sorry  but now the people that told me what he was saying are mad at me for saying anything  but there is no way I was going to let that ride ?? and later I saw him and my boss playing and my boss just told him he could take the night off for helping her

I had really hard time reading your post because of the spelling errors. If I understood it well, talk to the guy before the manager...

I apologize and I truly don't mean offense, but if you could run the spell check and just review your post and clean it up a bit it would be much easier to read and we could probably provide better feedback for you.

It's easier to deal with spell check when someone isn't legally blind :)

Went back and did some clean up on it .

SO far I have not been able to find if there is spell check on here ? someone please tell me where it is ? :)

Trek- could you explain the visual challenges you have, that may help people understand that it's hard for you to see things as clearly? You mentioned it on another thread one time, or I wouldn't bring it up on a thread.... :)

I would start with this guy first and ask him why he he doesn't like you. If you get no resolution can you go to HR? I can't see why a NM would fire people just because her 'pet' doesn't like other nurses. It's expensive to train people, so this makes no sense to me.

Good luck though. This guy sounds like a putz if he really is talking smack and getting people fired.

Oh good grief ....

I take it you are a nurse and you work in a nursing environment ?? How old is your boss and her/his 'pet' ?

- Getting 'written up' as per the perception of the difficult coworker and not the boss ?

- Brags about having 'temps fired'

- He 'openly says he hates me'

- Gets the rest of the shift off for helping the boss

- He got mad at you for reporting his behaviour to the boss

What a weird dysfunctional environment. Is there any way you can get another job ?

Best wishes to you
