"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company ... a church ... a home. The remarkable thing is that we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will have for that day. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude ... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you ... we are in charge of our Attitudes." --Charles Swindoll

Saw this on a bulletin board at work the other day and thought it was pretty good.

Everyone have a great Labor Day! :kiss

I think I will share this with my 14 year old daughter, she has a real attitude at times. I always tell her it's not what you say but how you say it. I can't wait for her to outgrow that evil teenage attitude.

Thanks, Sherri, for sharing such wonderful truisms about Attitude. Attitude DOES make the difference in many things we face from day to day. Attitude can make or break us.

A dear friend of mine shared the following words this morning on my private online Christian Women United group:

The 1st battleground we fight with is our ears....what we hear.

The 2nd battleground we fight with is our mind...what we think.

The 3rd battleground we fight with is our mouth...what we speak.

Everything we see has a spiritual root.

Words of faith come from our hearts.

Words we speak today frame what happens tomorrow..so speak words of faith!

The 4th battleground we contend with is our behavior...what we do. We should act on what we believe, and start talking the Word of God!

Know our weapons when circumstances arise..."no weapon formed against me shall prosper."

*********(This is the end of what my friend shared)******

One of the lessons I learned from this was our tongue is our greatest weapon. If we really HEAR with our EARS what is or isn't truly being spoken, then THINK with our MIND those things we THINK we heard...pray or ponder over what we think we heard so we can seek discernment and clarification before we SPEAK what we thought we heard in anger or gest...then we can MOUTH with truthfulness and sincerity those things that will bless everyone here...not just one, or ourself only. All of this IS the beginning of how we reflect our ATTITUDE onto one another.

Thus, the TONGUE can either be used as a CURSE against us, or as a BLESSING in our life. The CHOICE we have to decide on is will we or won't we allow our tongue to speak blessings or curses on our lives or those we come in contact with each day??? :kiss :)
