VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

have any of you taken the western suffolk boces test? It's called TEAS. Im nervous about it because in addition to the veeb test it has a science portion. Anyway, if someone could get back to me and let me know how the two tests were in comparison i would GREATLY appreciate it :) thanks in advance

Lido check this forum out.... it has some info on the TEAS.....https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-discussion/teas-_-science-384257.html

Not sure about the comparison to the VEEB test but it's somewhat informative.

Hello everyone,

First I'd like to say I liked reading your posts, they were informative and that you are a supportive bunch.

Second, I have read a lot of posts about the bridge program and they have confused me. I recieved a letter today saying that I passed the entrance exam, but they have put a "hold" on offering additional seats. I guess I'm on a wait list. So I'm wondering, from what I've read here it seems that they are holding seats for those in the bridge program;

I don't know what to make of this. Would I have a better chance getting in if I had not passed?:hdvwl:

What does this "hold" mean for those who passed? Does that mean they're put on a waiting list? :crying2: :thnkg:

Please help.

:icon_roll Honestly, I wish I knew the answers to your questions. It does seem alittle odd that they would put someone who passed the entrance exam on the waiting list, yet still take money from people for the bridge program??? I mean NO disrespect for those who did not pass, and are attempting the bridge program, it just seems alittle odd. Wouldnt they want the people who passed the exam on the first try to attend their school? I just dont get it. It seems like a money-making scheme to me, but again, I really dont have a clue why they do things the way they do. Good luck to all on the waiting list and in the bridge program. Hopefully everything will fall into place and we will all be classmates in September!:redpinkhe

Look at it this way if u took ur test in feb and got 3 wrong and I passed my test in march !

They should pick me over over u! ( even though we did not pass we got their first and we study are ass off ;) and I

You won't be getting my spot! :(

I paid all my money and hope everyone dose the same! Can't wait to see everyone in June ;)

Geo299 while you guys were impatiently waiting for your results I was totally rooting for ny-mom, nursegurl, trini, malenurse amongst many others.I hope many others named and other wise who did not pass still do well in the bridge and make it in the program for sept . I do not have the "crabs in a barrel syndrome". Most of us are not fresh out of high school and for the benefit of our society, the greater good, and our own personnal or family reasons need to succeed. From my observations, most of us here are adults, reguardless of age.

If paying for the bridge increased my chances of getting in I would pay ( in a heart beat). Thanks nursegurl for your honest reply and sorry geo if I have offended you. Since I have grown to admire many who have not passed I will bite my tongue and leave it at that geo, thanks for you support.

:yeahthat:

I guess I'm helping you. When you look up my "big words" you'll do better on the comprehension part of the test. I truly wish you all the luck, seems like you'll need it.

See in June ( farroc) o u won't be there ;(

I apologize if I have offended anyone else on this board. I truly support everyone in your career journeys. :icon_roll
