Hello All,
Has anyone had to do a self assessment for NYP to get a job? Please let me know.

Well congratulations on getting that far haha! What kind of questions did they ask you in the phone interview?

Very basic questions like why nursing? why NYP? and top 3 favorite specialties.
Nothing crazy and that's why I don't understand the silence!! Especially when they told me "Great! We will contact you shortly to schedule an interview!!!!""????

Hi!I took my battery test first week in April. Had my phone interview April 17 and we left off saying that I will be contacted shortly for an interview and then never heard from them again. I find it kind of rude not to get back to a candidate, especially when they have already wasted their time on a phone interview, it would be nice to say "Sorry, no thank you!"I'll be better off knowing that, than just nothing!Anyway....got another offer :)

Did you try checking your email? I wasn't chosen for an actual interview with the manager I think the fact that I don't have those three letters...BSN...they automatically denied me an interview. I'm just surprised I got to the phone interview!
Oh yes! I am constantly on my email account and I also check spam. It's ok though, I am really happy with the offer I got at my dream place!

How did you guys get phone interview? Meaning was it set up through email? Or was it a random phone call that you answered and happened to be NYP?
I took the battery test 11 days ago, silence ever since... what was supposed to happen?

I took the battery last week and I just got a call from a rep at NYP about an "invite only" event coming up in June where we would get to hear more about the units and meet nurse managers. Has anyone been to something like this before? I am curious to know more about it. I really want to work at this hospital!

Like much of you guys, I was also contacted for the battery assessment. I completed it on May 19th and haven't heard anything since then!! I feel paranoid! Checking my email every few hours and phone for any missed calls! What is going on? So much for 5 days....Called them and only got a voicemail
I am in the same boat as you. Where did you find a phone #? I heard they take a long time though. So maybe they're just more speedier with other people over us.
Lets have faith!

any updates on the new career events? i got a voice mail last week with no call back number telling me that i'd be receiving an email with all the details. I still haven't received anything, but i saw on here that other people were invited to events on the 14th and 17th. I can't find anything about it online. I'm really starting to get nervous, I've been searching for months now and this waiting game is killing me.
I called the phone number included in the email for the battery assessment. It has now been 2 weeks and I have heard nothing. NO response to the message I left on voicemail either. Hard to have faith right now!
I have still heard nothing. Took the career battery on May 18...

I took the battery test on 5/17/2013 and got a call and email about the invite only new grad event on 5/30/2013......so they took about 2 weeks to get back at me after the battery test. :)
