NYP New Grad Meet and Greet Nov. 24th

Hi everyone! I signed up for New York-Presbyterian's new grad meet and greet event scheduled for next week, Nov. 24th, and I have just received a confirmation email to inform me what time I'm scheduled to meet them. I know in previous meet and greet, people would receive a nurse battery test after the interview if they passed. For this meet and greet, they send you the career battery test after you've registered for the event. I thought maybe it's because they want to wean out some applicants before the meet and greet. My question is, did I pass this career battery test and that's why I'm able to attend this meet and greet, or is it really just a confirmation email stating that I can attend the event? I'm wondering if anyone else is thinking about this too. Any feedback would be appreciated.

What do you mean by a battery test? I went to their meet and greet before. I signed up online and after a few weeks I got an email with a scheduled date and time. I dont recall any test. Be confident and sell yourself well when you go. I had a group interview with other applicants and the recruiter asked us each 2-3 questions before time was up. Good luck!

Thank you for the tips! I've heard from previous meet and greets that if the recruiter is considering you, they would send "career battery test" after the interview. However, the meet and greet is a little different this time. After we registered, NYP automatically sends us the battery test and we must fill it out before the meet and greet. I was just wondering if they did that to filter out people. And because I got the email about the invite, I was wondering if it's because I passed that test or because I signed up.

Oh I guess, I didn't get the battery test because I didn't make it that far in the competition. I understand what you mean now after reading the May thread. I think its a filter so it must have changed since last time. Anyways I think it's a good thing you got it.

Don't worry, they might have another meet and greet early next year again. Just keep checking the website! I didn't think they would have another one for November, but they did. Don't give up!

I don't interview well in groups. It brings me out of focus for what I want to say.

And man did they try to get us out asap.

I was lucky that my table only had 3 other people. I actually got 2 whole minutes to sell myself to them. Good times..... Now imagine the guys who had 7 people on the table.

Hi dee789,

Yea the event was found on the career website where you can see what events they have coming up. They posted the event on October 23rd and they gave you until November 12th to sign up I believe. I hope the next one will come again soon for those who missed it.
