NYP New Grad Meet and Greet Nov. 24th

Hi everyone! I signed up for New York-Presbyterian's new grad meet and greet event scheduled for next week, Nov. 24th, and I have just received a confirmation email to inform me what time I'm scheduled to meet them. I know in previous meet and greet, people would receive a nurse battery test after the interview if they passed. For this meet and greet, they send you the career battery test after you've registered for the event. I thought maybe it's because they want to wean out some applicants before the meet and greet. My question is, did I pass this career battery test and that's why I'm able to attend this meet and greet, or is it really just a confirmation email stating that I can attend the event? I'm wondering if anyone else is thinking about this too. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hey all! I just have a question. I logged onto my nyp portal and when I was looking at the status I have for the meet and greet event it says "Interview" and I'm not really sure what that means. Is that how they put they status since technically it was an interview? Does anyone else know what I am talking about? All the other jobs that I've applied to before that always said "Application Received;Do not meet requirements" that's why I even noticed because this one was different.

Yea I checked my NYP dashboard on Nov. 17th, the day they started sending emails for invite of the meet and greet, it said interview also. I think it just meant we were accepted for the meet and greet, not the progress for our next interview. And yea, the other jobs I applied to also said "Application Received; Do not meet requirements." We applied for the jobs not for new grads lol.

Ah ok cool yea I figured it wasn't anything special but I wanted to ask and make sure. You never know with these things haha

Haha yea, I hope they do email us about our progress by next Monday. They said they will definitely email us within 2 weeks. Hope we hear the good news!

I'm planning on doing this next year, as I graduate in May of 2016. I'm from Ohio, and am seriously looking for nursing positions in NYC. Is there only a fall meet and greet, or is there one in the spring that would be closer to my NCLEX date? Sorry, sort of off topic!

The meet and greet is all year round! They held 2 in the spring I believe like in April and May.

I received an email the day after the meet and greet telling me I was a top new grad. Does anyone know what is supposed to happen next? I know they said everyone's path would be different, but I was wondering if anyone else had been through the process.

are these new grad events worth flying in for? It's my dream to work in NYC but don't want to waste 400 dollars if there's no chance. I have a year of hospital intern experience and a 3.4 GPA from a big university. Any advice
