  1. Yea it said August but I don't know when in August. No I didn't see anything about recommendations or anything like that. I guess if they call you they'll ask you for more stuff if they need it. There's no info on it really so it's hard to figure out. They did take it down so we can't even look back. I guess its just a waiting game at this point.
  2. Yea I didn't see anything either so I figured it was something new they were trying. I applied but I haven't heard anything either so I guess we'll see for now. It would definitely be a cool opportunity.
  3. Hey everyone! I was just looking to see who was applying to this fellowship. I have never seen this before. Its not listed with the other fellowships so I don't know if its a new one but I wanted to see if anyone knew anything about it.
  4. I graduated from hunter college and I thought it was pretty good. I mean sure just like any other program it does have its flaws but I can't complain. Plus when I tell ppls I went to hunter Ifor nursing always get "Wow you must be really smart!" Or "Wow that's a great school!" I like to think I'm an average student to put that into perspective so they must be doing something right. And that's just the most common responses from healthcare people to non-healthcare people to even other nursing school students and grads so idk its not too bad. Hope that helps somewhat!
  5. Thank you! Definitely know how you feel. I don't have any concrete advice and if I did it would revolve around patience which I know gets annoying to hear after awhile. My dad would tell me throughout my search to just be positive and everything will fall into place. Before you know it you'll have tons of options at your door which is what really did happen in my case. Try your best to stay positive and hopefully your time will come sooner than later! If you can take classes in the mean time like AcLS, IV certification, pharmacology, EKG, etc. Whatever you can to help yourself standout is probably the next best thing I would say.
  6. Thanks for the input! I'm starting on a tele unit in a couple weeks so I wanted to get an idea of what orientation would be like being that I am a new grad
  7. Hi all! Does anybody know about the experience of being a new grad at this hospital? Or do you know anyone who was a new grad and started here (good or bad)?
  8. Nobody seems to really offer up any info on this hospital I guess it must be top secret lol I was gonna give it one last shot and see if there are any other people who interviewed or got the internship so we could be nervous together haha
  9. Thank you for the much needed advice! Really appreciate it :)
  10. Thank you! I'm super excited!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. When I was waiting to hear back, I interviewed on a Tuesday and got the call the following Monday. I would say just work on getting some good references to do the reference survey for them ASAP. And hopefully they call you back early next week with some good news! Good luck and definitely keep me posted! I did end up going to the second interview but there was just too much waiting involved as far as when I would hear back and then if I did get the job I wouldn't start until March. So SNCH is where I'll be for the next 2 years lol. Besides NSLIJ is not going anywhere so I can always apply in the future. At least now I have a job haha.
  11. Hey! Yea I did and I ended up getting the job!! Thanks for asking! Your interview was this week right..how did that go??
  12. Wanted to revive this post to find out if anyone had any info on this hospital either if they worked there or knows someone who worked there. Work environment, staff, and things of that nature
  13. Hi everyone! So I just accepted a job offer for a new grad internship on a telemetry floor! I'm super excited but completely nervous and terrified at the same time lol. I start in about 2 weeks. This is my first joband its been pretty much 6 months since I got my license and 8 months since I graduated. It would be super helpful if I could get some words of wisdom on how to prepare myself and what to expect. Thank you in advance!
  14. None that I remember. Mostly behavioral questions (ex. Tell me about a time when this happened or what would you do in this situation)
