  1. I like your attitude! Thanks for sharing, I'm going into my 3rd month of my first RN job and it's good to hear it gets better
  2. Thank you for your tips! After learning the layout of orientation from the first day today, I am feeling less nervous. But I'm sure my nerves will spike up again once I'm onto the floor
  3. Thank you @scaredsilly! I find hearing about other people's stories helps me out.
  4. Hi all, I start my first RN job in NYC on Monday! I have 6-7 weeks of orientation before I'm on my own. The first week or two will be in the classroom, and the remainder with my preceptor. Can anyone give tips on what to expect? It's for a med/surg floor that has a majority of neuro patients. (Btw I am a new grad with a BSN. I graduated in May.) Thanks!
  5. Thanks guys--I contacted and they said out of the candidates it came down between me and one other. The other got the position :'( Yes I am a new grad. HR said my resume was passed onto another recruiter and I should hear from her soon. Hope I do. Shame, I really liked the floor I was applying for.
  6. I interviewed for an RN position here and my interviews went very very well. I was told I would be contacted November 20th or November 21st, but I have heard nothing from them by phone or email. I'm upset I didn't get this job My interviews went so well that they said if this position got filled I would be forwarded to other floors that were hiring. But I haven't been contacted AT ALL.
  7. I missed the sign up for the event D:
  8. did you take the pharm exam yet? how was it?
  9. UPDATE: I contacted them and they said printing out your online verification on the NYS office of professions is ok. Looks like I'll be attending!
  10. Oh man I wish I knew about the Queens event earlier! I don't have my letters of recommendations and my RN license still hasn't come in the mail. I'm crossing my fingers that they hold these events often, does anyone know if they do?
  11. YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! CONGRATS, RN!!! SO HAPPY
  12. UPDATE: I PASSED!!!!!!
  13. Congratulations to you, nktxo!!!!!! I am so happy for you!
