NYP New grad position

Hello.

I recently applied for a new grad position at NYP and I got an email saying my app is currently "being considered" for the new grad opportunity and they will "contact me within the next 2 weeks regarding next step/status etc".

Does that mean I have a chance to land an interview, or is it what everyone gets after they apply?

It was not a computer generated email.....but an email from an actual person......

Exactly. Just wondering how a big group is going to network in that short of time.

Georgetown University Hospital had a similar format...they called it a new grad day where all the new grads came and were interviewed and hired onto various units.

I believe so, yea. Because the new grads that went to that event got hired. But I am not sure how NYP does it. I am worried because I need to apply for my NY license after I receive my NJ licencse. Hope they realized that lol

i took my battery at least 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back, no phone interview or anything. Do you guys think this means I am out of luck? :(

@kaatudid I think that nyp is done choosing their candidates for the new grad position (those who were invited to the event) so at this point I don't think that it matters whether you've applied and took the battery test. That's what I think

Hi all,

I applied as well and was invited to the Columbia campus...my areas were ICU, General Med-surg, and the ER...Is anyone from out of state...I am coming from across the river, NJ!

At kaatudid u have to call to follow up. The same thing happened to me until I followed up with them

@kiki1984 thank you so much for the advice! I actually did call talent acquisition once but just got voicemail. did you talk to someone in the talent acquisition office or just human resources in general?
