Bergen Community College Nursing Evening 2015

U.S.A. New Jersey

Published

Hey everyone, I know its early but I was just wondering who was going to apply for the 2015 Evening Nursing program. I have attempted to apply for the 2014 day program but was denied due to the fact that my "Chemistry" prerequisite class was unacceptable. Anyways, I was hoping we could all help each other out when the time comes.

:D

Oh, when did you get your email? I received mine on Monday and completed it that day. 10/13/14

Just got my email for testing. Holy moly, someone want to study together?

Um well kind of misread, it was a preliminary background check that i passed. Still got to wait for the rest to go through

Hi yoonjmp, A classmate of mine and I are getting together to study at the BCC library today around 4:30pm. You are welcome to join us if you like.

Sadly i will not be able to today. Did your background check already go through? I wonder why mines taking so long to finish

Yes, it did. I created an elsevier's account this past Saturday. Im just waiting for them to reply to my request, which usually takes about 1-3 business days. We are meeting this Friday around the same time at the same place.

Hey Jayblade,

I remember you commented on a previous nursing thread for fall semester 2014. How did you do on the HESI?

I thought you already got into the program

Received 'Ready to Test' email on Monday. In case anyone wants to know.

Yea, I took the exam for the days program but had to turn it down. I work overnight at NYU. Therefore, it was going to be extremely difficult for me to go to school afterwards, especially for clinicals. I think I scored a 93% or 91% cant remember.

Wow thats great!!! how was the test anyways? I mean what can I expect on the test?

There will be around 35 questions for each Bio and Chem. I believe 50 questions for reading comprehension/vocabulary and grammar. You will have four hours to complete the exam. For math, expect to see ratio word problems, simple division, multiplication, adding/subtracting. If you have the HESI guide book, don't bother to learn all those medical terminologies for the vocabulary section. Bio and Chem is just Bio and Chem. I cant remember specific questions. Make sure you know cell's organelles' functions. For instance, gorgi apparatus, rough ER, smooth ER, ribosomes, lysosomes, mitochondria. Learn cells respiration. Which process produces more ATP. What are the reactants/product of cells respiration. For Chem, study covalent bonds, single/double/nonpolar/polar. If you have time to swing by the library on Friday around 4:30pm, I can show you a few more. [email protected]. Shoot me an email if you want to study with my classmate and I. Fyi: thats a zero after Cruz.

Have anyone registered for the exam yet?
